in the uefa cup i didn't include the penalty shoot-out with psv and just took the scores from the end of play, 1-0 for both.

I posted this earlier. We seem to have slightly different numbers but they illustrait the same thing:

Ramos has been in charge for 58 games. His overall record at Spurs is 22 wins, 17 draws and 19 defeats. If you extrapolate this to a 38 league games with 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw this results in 54 points. Taking into account just the league games then it's 9 wins 11 draws and 15 defeats. That extrapolates to 41 points over a 38 game season.

hmm i got it from the premier league website :S but maybe i wrote them down wrong.

i double checked it's definitely 10 league wins, giving is 41 points from 35 games which on last seasons table would have us at 14th if we lost the remaining 3 games

extrapolates

1. To infer or estimate by extending or projecting known information.
2. Mathematics To estimate (a value of a variable outside a known range) from values within a known range by assuming that the estimated value follows logically from the known values.

I love SC learn something new eveyday. My view, give him till after the Janurary window if he hasnt turned it around bring in Redknapp or Jesus and try and at the very least stay in the freaking league. We have had three excellent seasons of football and results. This season goes back to the shitty days of Spurs doing nothing but talking, depressing stuff. Seriously under Jol I expected us to play some decent football and 90% of the time we did win or lose, with Ramos we are doing nothing no quality or guts in any of our performances its depressing to support spurs at the moment. At least we have a nice kit.

You're a cheery chap. Thought of upping your prozac dose?

Please tell me whats cheery about the current situation? Just telling it like it is, as much as i'd like to see us go on a winning streak and charge up that league table, i can't and we won't.

When we start winning again we'll enjoy the wins so much more, rather than them just be a matter of course. I'm excited by that. Can't wait for it to happen

Nothing's cheery but you don't have to see the future as so bleeak. We're hardly doomed. We are the butt of the jokes (some are really funny) at the moment but our time will come again. Never fear.

And if we "extrapolate" from what matters now - this seasons league games?

We have two points from eight games. 0.25 points per game. After 38 games that would leave us with between nine and ten points! Doubt if we'd stay up on that!

January will almost certainly be too late. If we get 6 points from the next 4 games (and that, as I said on another thread, is crazed optimism at the moment) and beat NEC then hold fire. Anything less, here's a cheque for £15m and a one-way ticket back to Spain.
