still nobody will admit that this director of football situation just isn't working.

Except fazza, when we finished 5th twice and won the Carling Cup. So I question why everyone is on the back of a suit that sits in the stands - when the fucking players are getting a relatively light time of it.

As much as Ramos will get the blame, two sending offs, Corluka stretchered off - I'm not sure what more he could have done today?

At some point it's got to stop being Ramos' fault to take, and some of these players have to start justifying their purchase and selection.

True, but right now we can't sack the players, so unless Ramos can get them to play we're fucked.. which is why ultimately it's a lways going to come back to him

One thing is for certain now, director of football doesn't work, look at all the managerw we've had that have gone since a director of football. Graham, Hoddle, Santini, Jol, all gone and swept under ther carpet, still nobody will admit that this director of football situation just isn't working.

When we appointed a director of football the philosophy was that although managers would come and go, the playing staff would stay the same as much as possible, well that was a lie wasn't it.

This deserves a thread of its own....absolutely spot on.

I don't blame Ramos either. I mean, it really isn't his fault today or I think on the other days. Levy and Comolli are to blame. The players are to blame. You can't pick a much better team from our lot than Ramos picked. He can't stop Bale from getting red carded, from which hence forth we were screwed. We only got a goal because of a no call on Bent's goal.

Stoof it will be the same as this time last year. The same people will blame Ramos and the same people will say we need to look at the bigger picture and neither side will agree with the other.

Yup. We were actually decently set up today for a change. Modric as a CM playmaker with Zoko holding and JJ theoretically playing the Fat Frank Lampard role. Plus two top class raiding FBs.

It's not Ramos' fault we defend carelessly, Bale miscontrols it, hangs out a leg, gives away a pen and gets sent off.

Once that happens, the gameplan was out of the window, and we played surprizingly well for the rest of the first half.

I just want to erase the entire second half from my memory.

That's not going to stop me daring to ask people to have a bit of perspective.

I hope we do go down...then at least some of the whiners here can slink off back into the wood work.

Loyalty means sticking by your team through thick and thin, and also means using your brains once in a while.

Sacking anyone, now will only accelarate the fall.

I will remind you of Portsmouth and Redknapp!!!

true enough, but dawson and corluka exited relatively late on, i think by that time the writing was on the wall, we seemed in the ascendancy even with 10 at half time and then came out in a coma as per usual.

We had a manager in charge that dispite he's frustrations with Comolli and the board, could get the respect from the players, but this whole situation has been brewing for years and now its come to the forefront, not all these managers can be that bad can they, if they are then what's Levy doing employing them.

I agree though, the players have to take responsibility for what happens on the pitch but they don't look like they know what there doing or where there playing, thats the fault of the manager and coach.

surely though you have to ask why it was that we actually played the best we've done all season for the 30 mins after bale went off, when our gameplan had been removed, but then they go in at half time , get a new gameplan and come out and play crap again

I'm not looking forward to relegation but as for the DOF, it ONLY worked with Jol and Arnesen!

Except that the team that made 5th twice was built primarily by Arnesen. So the DoF works, when the DoF knows what he is doing. Comolli probably has to watch an instructional video every time he wipes his ass just to make sure he doesn't smear his ball with his own feces.

So you can stay glued to singing the praises of a shit Arsenal scout. But he caused this. He bought the crap, he sold the good one, he fired the coach and he demanded this guy that doesn't know sweet fa. And don't mention the Cup, because Steve McClaren won that thing.

Correct!

Look at that list of managers; any of them should have been able to do a good job for most teams! Why haven't they? The Sixty Thousand Million Dollar Question!

I do actually think we're going down now and to be quite honest we deserve it. Players-not performing. Manager-not performing. Chairman-not a clue when it comes to football. Director of Football-well, what exactly is it? Communication with fans-not performing. Cost of starting 11 today-£96 million (according to someone else earlier).

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Thanks for some sane words

With the balance of our squad, tt's all about damage-control until the transfer-window opens. As soon as everyone understands that....the better.

Yup. Fair comments.

Our second half performance was as much a mystery as the rest of the season.

I'd like to blame it on those baby food shakes - because the alternative is pretty unpalatable.
