Ledley King should have started today and not in the cup games, Ramos has to pick his best 11 for the league now, I don't want relegation and a knock out in the UEFA quarter finals, i'd rather have 10th place and out after the UEFA group stage to be honest.

A-fucking men.

And where the fuck have you been!

Been around Stoof, always read your columns.

And you a mod too. get you...

Just thought I'd try and hand out a few pacifiers as there was so much whining on the SC.

"Waaah! Sack Ramos! Waaah! Sack Levy! We're Shit! Waah!" et infinitum.

Calm down people. Get a reality check.

Reality is this:

We are firmly placed bottom of the premiership with 2 points from a possible 21.

We have sold over 40 goals in Berbatov and Keane

We have replaced those 40 goals with a Russian who's learning english and right now is out of his depth.

Ramos doesn't seem to know whats going on when he gets out of bed

Levy needs to wake up now.

Except that the team that made 5th twice was built primarily by Arnesen. So the DoF works, when the DoF knows what he is doing. Comolli probably has to watch an instructional video every time he wipes his ass just to make sure he doesn't smear his ball with his own feces.

So you can stay glued to singing the praises of a shit Arsenal scout. But he caused this. He bought the crap, he sold the good one, he fired the coach and he demanded this guy that doesn't know sweet fa. And don't mention the Cup, because Steve McClaren won that thing.

Brilliant, DoublePivot. A purely factual post there, with zero opinion - especially the bold bit.

By the way, that 'Arsenal scout' did his job terribly - considering Arsenal have probably had their best decade in their history. (****s).

Stop guessing what goes on, and spinning it with your own agenda.

He didn't bring down Soares today, he didn't leave Delap unmarked. Have a look at the bloody players making poor individual mistakes. Something a coach cannot legistlate for. Something a suit in the stand can't legislate for.

When all is said and done, that team selected was good enough to beat Stoke - so it's up to them to turn up and do their fucking job.

Why should we calm down? Expectations were to be challenging for 4th. That isn't even from the fans, but from Levy and Ramos. Instead we're bottom of the league and it's one of our worst starts ever. Not only that, but our schedule hasn't even been that tough. It's like going to a wedding and you're told you're going to be served prime rib and when they bring out the food, there's a steaming pile of shit on the plate. You're going to fucking complain. Do I think it's Ramos's fault, no I think it's Levy's, Comolli's, and the player's fault, but it's time to complain.

I must admit that today really proved a few things:

1) Jenas shouldnt be Captain, he does nothing to inspire his team mates
2) We are in desperate need of some balance, we need a hardman in the middle & an actual winger on the left
3) Even though Bent scored he doesnt do anything else
4) Players needed in January are a CB (ANYONE), DM (Gattuso), LM (Capel) and then maybe give Dos Santos an actual run in the team with Pav upfront

But we shouldnt get rid of Ramos, we should get rid of the DoF rile & let Ramos decide on the players he needs to bring in to make us actually work!

Mine weren't. (Sorry if that sounds a bit ner-ner-ner-ner-ner) but it seems that the people who are the most bent out of shape about this are the ones with excessive lofty expectations.

Sorry, KIK, but no-one is going to displace the Top Four for a good long while.

The reality is also that we have invested heavily (and very wisely) in players and managment to build for a better future.

And the attitude you are taking will undermine both the confidence of our players, managment and shareholders as well as undermine the monetary value of the players we have spent £80 million on this summer.

I'm sure you would agree with me that it doesn't make sense spending an awful lot of OUR money on a team (management & players) then spending all your time saying how worthless they are.

Why don't you just save yourself a lot of bother and simply burn your money in your fireplace rather than spend it at the lane?

To be fair this all started when we signed the likes of Kaboul, Boateng and Bent. It is a really sad state, that we shouldn't have got ourselves in to. Had we trusted Jol who know what might have happened. We didn't and his tactical awareness was shown up and we had no choice but the get in someone else. They way it was done was a disgrace and right now we are in no better situation. We have no Berba or Keane to get us out of this one. We have some class players in a good side but we need to start picking up points and the less fashionable Hudd, O'Hara, Assou-Ekotto and Gunter are needed to fight and put in a bit of steal. Mix it with the likes of Modric, Gio and Lennon and we will have a side that can sort this stuff out - I hope any way.

Someone should have told that to the board last season. They were the ones
with excessive lofty expectations.

Its very difficult to keep a positive attitude when the team you support is in its worst situation in history, but i'll take what you've said on board :duh:

Dear god man, when are you going to wake up and smell the stench. How can we build for a future if that future seems us playing in the Championship. Is that the future you wish us to play in.

The players must take the blame, they are not performing. Everybody was poor today.

Stoof, I didn't say my expectations. I can go look up quotes where those were Levy and Ramos's expectations. Also CHALLENGING is different than MAKING the top 4. Also no matter what your expectations were, 2 points in 8 matches with our schedules is so below expectations it's almost unfathomable. NO ONE IN THE WHOLE WORLD, could have predicted that.

I would have thought being completely inept on the football field would undermine the players' value!

And incidently laz, I think the fans on SC are perfectly within their rights to complain about the current situation, because it's dire.

Well said.

But I would add that those who suffered through the long dark days of the late 80s, 90s & Noughties will remember how close we came to going out of business as a club and that our current unlikeliness to be challenging for the title is definitely not the worst case scenario.

All we have to achieve in the league this season is catching up to whomever is 4th from bottom, that's it...and unless people think that with 30 games to go we cannot catch up with Stoke etc?

The players are definitely heading in the right direction - the Championship because on our performances this season most of them belong there.
The English players in our team are useless and we have far too many of them - Jenas,Bentley,Dawson,Lennon,Huddlestone,O'Hara and Bent are not good enough players and lack technique and mentality.
So much for building a team around them, ship them out and get decent players in from abroad!
