My opinion over the last few days was that Kane would be leaving. My opinion hasn't changed and I've still heard absolutely nothing on the situation. What I have now been told (and it's not groundbreaking), is that if/when Kane leaves, we are extremely interested in Muani.

I‘d be ok with it, so long as we sign a dead guy called Hopkirk to partner him up front.

Best option imo. Shame Toney was such a bellend though because I wouldn't be surprised if HG issues are causing a few headaches behind the scenes.

I don't know much about this guy, anyone able to enlighten me about what type of striker he is?

At this point I would definitely take Muani for Kane. It seems inevitable that Kane is going sooner or later, and Muani fits the new system absolutely perfectly. Good age too.

Top class striker, but have in mind Frankfurt looking for top money as well. They talk about 100m Euros, I am sure we can deal for less, but personally can not see we spend 70-80 m on him.

Apparantly United is interested in him if they fail to get Hojlund.

Have never seen him play, but just looking at the stats he seems to have one decent season in Germany, and before that not too much to show for at a high level? Has he shown so much quality that those who have seen him are confident he will «make it», or is he still a bit of a wild card?

This one will be interesting. Would need to move fast I think. Can see whoever out of PSG/Bayern that misses out on Kane going for him, so you'd expect us to have to try and tie it up before the Kane deal was completed. Same would apply to Vlahovic IMO.

replacing our own one season wonder with Frankfurt's.... but jokes aside if Kanes first season for us had been for say Brighton would you have been against signing him then? With Strikers we aren't City we can't just take the guy who has scored 20 goals a season for 3-4 years sadly we are the club that's losing that player and we have to buy a player on the up we can't afford or attract established in this position. Let's be honest Muani is still very expensive and as you say it's based off a small sample.

He's clocked impressive numbers in the bundesliga last season for frankfurt. If the price isn't extortionate this could be a very savvy purchase. He's wiry, athletic, a good dribbler for a tall kid, has a considerable burst of pace and plays with his head up, often getting an assist rather than shooting if the option is better. He's the guy that martinez did that incredible save from in the wc final. The fact he was coming on frequently as a sub for France with their squad points to a talent and a game changer.

Lots of fuss and fanfare around him but it does concern me that he commands such a huge price tag after one decent season.

Ferguson from Brighton would probably worry me less, but then they'll also want crazy money.

However, we're not Chelsea, and they didn't rip us off for Bissouma.

Not necessarily mate, the club know 100% if/when Kane leaves they need to do something serious to appease the fans so I would highly expect the likes of Muani/Vlahovic to come in very quickly following his departure. I know we have spoken to Frankfurt & Juventus about both players.
more from H88, mentioned Vlahovic too

One good season doesn't seem to justify the huge transfer fees being touted. But then again, I've hardly seen him play

Very hard to see him being a likely signing:
If we sign him it's because Kane has gone so we have lost our only truly world class player, playing alongside Son (as much as I love him) etc isn't the same draw
As much as we like to think we're a massive club we're not in top 10 in Europe so why would he want to join us over other bigger clubs who are also looking for a striker plus we pay less than the big boys in wages
We don't even have Europe to offer him
We are clearly in a rebuild so if you were advising a player likely you would recommend a stable club which we definitely aren't
He's valued between 80-100m which is a fee I can't see us paying regardless of having Kane funds or not

Hope this is one of the many occasions I'm wrong but can't see us having a genuine chance of signing him
