I’m not sure they will deal for much less tbh, BM, PSG and Utd were or are interested and they don’t particularly want to sell. Personally I think Vlahovic will be the easier option.
Maybe, but I'd rather have Kolo Muani and would probably be ready to pay a bit more for him if a deal is doable. Love his full package and potential.

Agree I don't see us spending more on kanes replacement than we bring in for Harry.
Bear in mind that Harry has just one year left on his contract which somewhat lowers what we can expect to get for him when some clubs would have been happy to wait a year to get him on a free. So hypothetically Muani could be valued slightly higher. But also don't forget that as Kane was a youth product, anything that we sell him for is pure profit for FFP. Whereas Muani is a long-term asset whose fee would be amortised over the contract duration.

Maybe. Personally I think we’ll be fine with Richy as a striker in Ange’s system - he’s definitely not a winger in an Ange team and it will be odd to then block his path with a £100m signing.

I would rather we spent the money on a right winger who is flexible enough to play striker when required as back up to Richy.

Richarlison's injury record is a bit concerning though. I'm not at all taken with the idea of playing Sonny in the middle either. I do wonder how much Udinese would want for Beto.

I find it hard to justify that fee for a man who didn't manage a single goal against our defence in two games last season.

Very much likely in the minority here but i'd be wary of splurging nigh on all the Kane money on a direct replacement.

Muani looks a talent but if we are talking close to £80m that's a big premium and I think we are better served at this moment in time building the squad up.

That was pre world cup before we came back and everything turned to shit under conte. We were good before the world cup

If we are looking for a striker similar to Kane, then the data certainly suggests that Muani is the right choice:

Levy will be feeling the heat if/when Kane goes. He got absolute pelters last season and I'm sure that's fresh in his mind.
You would like to think so but he seems oblivious to it as he always has the hardcore Levy sympathisers.

No reason we couldn't spend the full Kane money on a replacement. You get another player but on a 5 year contract and much lower wages. It's more a question of whether we are convinced enough. Our big money signings haven't worked out well over the years.

Who would you prefer?
I think Ramos, who we have also been linked with, should also be in the discussion.

Tbh this isn’t such a simple question, I think most would prefer Muani because he much more versatile and “exciting”. He can dribble and pass and play on the wing etc but what are we looking for? Purely as a technical finisher Vlahovic is better imo, Muani has a lot of skills but he still needs to develop his finishing. Furthermore Vlahovic is probably more the Natural striker who will sit at the top of the pitch on the shoulder and make run after run. His natural instincts as a striker are excellent and will get a lot of goals in our system but he won’t make something out of nothing like Muani will. Not that Mauni can’t also play off the shoulder, he can but he will naturally move around the pitch a lot more. Romas who I mentioned before is another one who excels at finding space and being in the right spot at the right time and at only 21 I very much hope he is the third name on the list.

If you look at the diagram below I think there is a very good argument, when taking into consideration of what Ange is looking for that Ramos or Vlahovic might be the better choices even tho Muani is most certainly the better all round player. I also added Lautaro who in my mind would be an ideal CF in this system even tho we obviously have no chance of getting him.

In conclusion I’m torn, I like Muani a lot and would certainly be very happy to have him but I wonder if a more specialised striker wouldn’t be the better option for what we need. Obviously then we have to equate for Richy so maybe a more versatile option is what we need but for me Richy isn’t a strong enough finisher.

I know the bellow video re Kane has been posted a lot but it’s worth rewatch from the 3min 30 mark in regards to the role of striker and then relate that to the above options.

Lol I just don’t see it happening for £100m. He’s only been at Frankfurt for a year as well so they’re in no rush to sell.

I don’t know why I keep reading that we’re gonna replace Kane with a top class CF and top class winger. Delusion of the highest order 😂
Not seen anywhere/anyone saying that we’re going to sign that. It’s more that is what we NEED to sign as a minimum replacement

Muani scored more non penalty goals than Vlahovic despite having lower xG (also outperforms Vlahovic in every area of that chart bar xG).

Muani was playing for a much weaker team than Vlahovic, Ramos etc yet still put up good all round numbers. It's no surprise he had less xG playing in a weaker side too.

In Ange's system which would focus his play, I think he could really develop and I think he's got a lot more to his game than Vlahovic, who I've had more and more concerns over the more I've watched him.

IF we are to lose Kane and want a striker to replace him (rather than playing Son central and buying another wide player) then Muani is probably the best fit for Ange's system.

Rapid, athletic, good in the air, can run the channels, press and can beat players too. He also creates goals as well as scoring them, in fact he can be a bit too unselfish for a striker.

If we could get him, which I personally doubt due to competition for him, my biggest concern would be the huge fee we'd need to spend. We'd be looking at €80-100m euros and it would be a massive risk for that money.

He'd be a much better bet than Vlahovic or playing Richarlison striker though.
These graphics are great if you are comparing players playing the same system, with the same philosophy and instruction and with similar players around them. If they are playing in very different systems/philosophies I'd expect the numbers to be very different even before you told me who the players were.
