Wow. Mind blown. Is there a different vibe over there or just the same type of discourse?

I feels like it should be a more dignified and well behaved place as it is the face of Spurs Community. 😀

Frankfurt picked this lad up on a free transfer.

We really need to improve our approach to the market. We need to have eyes on these players before the likes of Frankfurt pick them up.
Totally agree but if we did that people would be screaming that we’re going for the cheap option 🤣

He’s definitely PSG bound if they don’t get Kane . He is the forward most similar to Mbappe they could get . He’s also French makes to much sense .

When we get a player on a free(Solomon) the know it alls slag of the signing by saying how good can he be for a free and why hasnt anyone else got him. Its a no win game isnt it?

A front 3 of Son Richy and Muani would be so interesting. All 3 can play all 3 positions across the front line. With Deki/Maddison behind them creating.

can't see this mega-striker musical chairs ending well for us, PSG, Bayern, United, Juve all in need subject to how the dominoes fall

Like the look of this dude but surely a more ambitious owner will gobble him up....

Important to note that Muani ranks in the 95th percentile according to FBref in successful take ons, which seems of big importance for Ange's system in the wings. Just for comparison sake:

Solomon - 94th percentile
Kulusevski - 76th percentile
Son - 22nd percentile
Perisic - around 20th percentile (against wingers)
Richarlison - 18th percentile

I think we're already seeing that Solomon looks exciting in this system. Son needs fitness after a bad year, but he needs to improve in this area on the left or else he may be better suited at ST.

Kulusevski's data is about on par, some really nice take ons at time, but not as elite as some - I think he can mould to the position.

But back to Muani you can see why the link makes a lot of sense if Kane were to leave. He's at his best in the ST role competing with Richarlison but his outputs show he can be effective on the wing playing with Richarlison.

I think this shows we probably shouldn't be playing Richarlison out there as well.

Can Muani play LW? Would he be a better fit than Son there?

He's mostly played on the right when not played in the middle. Most of his matches are at ST though. I think it would look like:

Son/Solomon - Richarlison/Muani - Kulu/Muani

Plenty of time for those 5 IMO with a youth bench option. That being said, I wouldn't mind Perisic staying, I just think it looks likely he heads out still and it becomes crowded without European matches this season.

He can play wing forward but wouldn’t suit the Ange style of wide player for the system imo.

In my opinion we currently have 1 player who is a stereotypical Ange winger and that’s Solomon.

Son is more of a wing forward who has the pace but maybe lacks the 1vs1 close control dribbling ability and volume. Elite movement though.

Richarlison is a striker who is just a runner when he plays wider, not a wide player.

Deki lacks the explosive acceleration, agility and elite two way 1vs1 dribbling to be a proper Ange winger, though he can be a creator type wide player in that role.

Perisic will probably leave but is closer to an Ange style winger in terms of being good at 2 way dribbling and crossing. Lacks the explosiveness and agility these days though.

Muani isn’t a player who wants to hold the width and cause problems out wide. He wants to come inside and head towards goal. If he comes in it has to be to compete for the striker role.

But as you can see from the list above, we are kind of desperate for another stereotypical Ange winger to come in, preferably someone comfortable on the right or left. Jeremy Doku and Nico Williams the perfect candidates.

Considering both PSG and Utd are supposedly also interested in Muani it will be interesting to see how all this plays out.

Personally I don’t see us ever paying the money for Muani even if we had three Kanes and sold them all for 100 mil a pop but time will tell I guess.

Annoying that two money clubs like United and PSG are both looking at number 9s this summer. If we do sell Kane we're going to have to offer silly wages/fees to attract someone like Muani to Spurs with those 2 competing for his signature (well...whichever one doesn't get Hojlund).

Makes me think we'd be more likely to end up with someone like Vlahovic or more of a hybrid striker/wide forward type. Can't see us getting Muani, really.
