Gomes 7 Very confident and made some key saves, notably that drive in the 1st half to the top right
Hutton 6 Disappointed he couldn't block the ball across for the goal but strong runs on the right, particularly 1st half
Gallas 5 Some uncertain defending as Dempsey and Kamara dominated in the 1st half and could have caused Hudd's goal to be disallowed
King 7 Had a lot to do with little cover in the centre and then succumbed to what looked like a jarred knee
BAE 6 Generally sensible and solid but a few moments when he looked to put us in danger
Hudd 7 Fantastic goal, something he's been threatening for a while
Sandro 6 Looked strong and dominant but a few reckless challenges near the box leading to a card
Modric 7 Quiet first half but picked up in the 2nd with some acute passes and timely interceptions
Bale 6 Kept quiet by tight marking but did very well in playing out time in the last minutes
VDV 7 Sensational control for the shot that led to our 1st goal and some very good touches
Pav 6 Alert to knock in the header and had some bright movement

Bassong 7 Generally solid defending and didn't take any risks
Lennon 7 Gave us a real threat on the right and should have scored with a shot that was too weak and straight to the keeper
Crouch 6 Fell over a few times but then economical and smart in playing out time on the left

Disco was excellent today. People talk about Bales engine but disco was evertywhere the ball was down that left side. Superb positional sense and generally good distribution as well, which is normally his weakness

Pav scores a goal and was in the heart of all our chances in the second half and he gets 6!?!

Gomes - 6. Nothing much to do except one good save, and one reckless attempt to go off his line.

Hutton - 6. Nothing to shout about. Not much going forward, fairly solid defensively.

King - . 7. Was brilliant before he came off injured. One superb tackle just like the King of old.

Gallas - 6. Clearly at fault for the Fulham goal. Shouldve been more alert. Having said that, made up for it with a good display overall.

BAE - 7.5. I like this kid. Very skilful on the ball,a nd rarely gives the ball away. Better than Bale defensively.

Modric - 6. Very quiet and some poor passing. Not back to his old self yet since the injury.

Hudd - 7.5. Brilliant goal, whether it was legitimate or not. Very composed on the ball and thought he played very decently.

Sandro - 7. Thought he had a decent game and shame he was hauled off at halftime, but maybe it made sense as he was on a yellow. Like what I saw.

Bale - 6. Very quiet. And some poor passing and decisions at times. Still made the Fulham defenders sweat though, with his speed on the ball.

VDV - 8. What can I say...the boy's a genius. Faded out in the last 20 minutes, but kept the ball extremely well, and played the simple passes effectively. Always could be relied upon whenever required.

Pav - 7. Apart from the opportunistic goal, didnt do much. Kept possession well, but was a never a real threat to Schwarzer.

Bassong - 6. Solid.

Lennon - 7.5. He looked like the Lennon of old. Confidence seems to be creeping back. Long may it continue.

Crouch - too short time to make impression.

BAE was superb that skill in the second half when he lobbed the defender was pure class.

That is not true. Pav actually link play up very very well.

He gave Lennon a great opportunity much like Modric in the Twente game I think.

Our most balanced team performance of the year, no one was too great, no one even played that badly.

Whats with the "Pav done nothing expect score the goal" remarks? I must have been watching a different game! Seriously don't understand it, he played really well today like someone said linked play really well, showed great control and worked hard.

Some people don't go higher than a 6 unless the player scores 3 goals.

Gomes 7 - No chance for the goal. A couple of good saves and catches.
Hutton 7 - Pretty damn good all round today.
Gallas 6 - Some excellent defending, some poor defending.
King 6 - Decent enough
BAE 7.5 - Good game from him, especially considering he got liitle to no help from Bale
Hudd 6 - Good goal, some nice passes but didn't look for the ball as much as he should have in the first half. Part of a midfield that offered very little protection.
Sandro 6 - Some good tackles, some needless tackles. Made a few nice runs going foward, but like Huddlestone, he left Fulham's players tones of space in front of our back four.
Modric 5.5 - Very poor in the first half. Was much better in the second, but like Huddlestone and Sandro, gave too much space in behind.
Bale 5.5 - They kept him quiet until the last 15 minutes or so. Did nothing defensively again.
VDV 6.5 - Quiet enough in the first half until he hit the cross bar. Better in the second half and made a few excellent passes.
Pav 6.5 - The right place for the goal and played quite well. He needs to cut out the long range shots when he has better options on, but other than that, a good game.

Bassong 6.5 - Solid enough.
Lennon 7 - Gave us much better shape in the second half and destroyed their left back. Should have done better with the chance he had, but it's good to see him back to form.
Crouch 5.5 - Didn't keep the ball as much when he came on. Made a few good defensive headers.

Watched the 'goal' again and for all Tony Gale's harping on and on, the ball was going in whatever. Gallas was in an offside position but was he interfering? Possibly, probably even depending on the camera angle, but from the straight on view the ball was in and Gallas movement did not affect the goalie. Great shot whatever.

Just seen Chamakh dive yet again (he's now officially the worst offender I have seen since Drogba's early days) to win it for the arse. I've only seen it once but he makes my blood boil. Of course Tony Gale would forgive him as he's not a Spurs player.

Anyway great result and performance. Good game. VDV is sublime (when he gets the ball) and Modric is excellent once he plays in the middle. Sandro was unlucky to go off. The Hudd was equally sublime and scored the winner albeit with possible/probable deflection. His best for a long time. My MOM.

I know this should not be here, but I think Dembele was class. Held the ball well, some very good touches as well. Reminds me of Kanoute.

A cheap option in January to replace Keane.

Gomes - 6 - Clearly coming back from injury but will get better and didn't have much to do anyway.

Hutton - 7 - Good. Often had two men to contend with, whether attacking or defending. In that context he did well.
Gallas - 7 - Good. Tough game but the least hard-worked of our defenders.
King - 9 - Amazing. One tackle in particular was remarkable. They simply couldn't get past him. Such a shame he went off.
BAE - 9 - If Ashley Cole, Patrice Evra, Gael Clichy and David Ginola could compile their sperm and create the world's ultimate solid-yet-skillful left back it would be something like Disco Benny played today. Like Hutton had a lot of pressure to deal with but didn't just cope, he made his opponents look like blithering idiots with a string of majestic touches, incisive passes and clever flicks.

Sandro - 7 - Lovely stuff. Perhaps as the pace of the game took its toll he took the easy way out with a couple of fouls, which I suspect is why he was replaced. But tons of potential and a great first 45 minutes given the toughness and experience of his opponents.
Huddlestone - 8.5 - Top stuff from T-bag. Showed for everything. Used the football efficiently and effectively. And a beautiful strike for the winner. Captain Marvel.
Modric - 6.5 - Nothing is rolling for the lad, which is a shame. Brave of Harry to therefore throw him in the middle second half, but reflects the faith we all have in the Croatian. Got better as the game progressed but we really need to work out exactly how best to utilise him, Rafa, Bale and T-bag.
Bale - 7.5 - He's a good footballer, isn't he?

Van der Vaart - 8 - Fulham were adept at keeping the ball away from him as much as possible yet he created the equaliser, very, very nearly scored but for a super save by Schwarzer's foot and linked us in the forward third better as the game went on. Some player.

Pav - 7.5 - Cute smile.

Subs:

Bassong - 7 - Good. Reliable and mature display. Probably delighted it wasn't against Zamora.

Lennon - 7 - Getting there. Shame we weren't a couple up for the last ten minutes as he frequently found himself in space with the ball but tactics demanded he turn on himself and hold it up. For his personal progress I fancy he'd have better served letting fly and going through the gears.

Crouch - 6.5 - Wouldn't have brought him on here myself but, predictably, worked hard and provided an outlet. Although we really didn't need one such was the quality of our passing and possession.

Harry - 8.5 - Anyone know the odds on England winning the 2014 World Cup...?
