Lloris - 7 - saved us here and there again but some scary moments. Didn't get the continuing high balls directly to West Hams defense.

Rose - 7 - He could have been aware for the scond goal but got us back into the game and I thought he had a very good game overall. He tried to support our attack and he cleared his side very comfortable without hoofing it out for the 23032884540th throw in and looked for the CM.
Dier - 6 - Lost his man for the first goal was in big trouble at times but I still am more happy to see him over Fazio.
Vertonghen - 6 - Well, okay, not his best but not his worst
Walker - 4 - srsly annoys me more and more. He looks like a real dumb man. Has got 4 moves in him like a Pokemon and couldn't even support our RW 80 minutes long. We desperatley needed width. Hopefully we see Yedlin to make a runout soon to see if he can offer more.

Mason - 5 - He tried and fighted but his contribution was not too good. We should have played Eriksen deeper a bit earlier to help our build up play. West ham havent a no. 10 to worry about. I don't think he is not ready to become a reg starter for us.
Bentaleb - 7 - Really like him. Shame he still has to wait for his first PL goal. Good performance

And now the annoying ones:

Lamela - 5 - very good effort and willingness to pick up the ball at the end of the game but dear oh dear he is NEVER in control of the situation. everythings happens too fast for him and he rarely gets a ball to a teammate in the final third. Such a shame.
Townsend - 4 - contributed nothing, has even less tricks in him than Walker.
Dembele - 4 - Very bad first half, but I would have played him in the second half to play a CM of Bentaleb - Dembele, Eriksen.

Kane - 6 - lucky with his equalizer shouldn't take pens any longer. First bad game for him. Always head down and tried to shot even when there were others in a better position or about 5 West Ham players in front of him. But hey ho no matter how, he delivered at the end....

Eriksen - 5 - a real dip of form. Still one of our better passing players to get things going in the middle but his contribution in the final third was totally meh.
Soldado - 5 - got a good shot away other than that got lost again but was always a difficult game for him. Chadli should have come on earlier.
Chadli - 6 - Didnt do anything of note but it was his substitution when we started to look dangerous.

Poch got a bit wrong today shame. But I hope another late goal helps the team mentality and hopefully we can start going again now. But we won't make Top 4, Arsenal and Liverpool will unfortunately. Finish in the top 6 would be a solid season.

Chadli a rating higher than Lamela despite being on for barely 10 minutes... Walker slaughtered throughout yet scores the same?

Some people's agenda on here is nothing short of embarrassing.

Lamela was shit first half as was everyone bar Rose, however second half he was probably our best player.

To think there were people behind me at the game ironically cheering him when he did something correct... Pathetic.

Rose has been constantly good for us. Very good performance today. Their second goal was offside as the offside player attacked the ball. Linesman was wrong or courrupted.

Mason, Dembele and Twonsend should not start again. A new partner for Bentaleb in cm. I hope Yedlin can permanently replace walker soon. We are a very good team if those four are properly replaced.
I agree that West Ham's second goal could have been given off side but you play to the whistle and it was a school boy error for Rose to be over concerned with appealing for the offside instead of dealing with the danger and allowing Sakho to get his strike off unchallenged for the goal

He did play well though and I'd argue his goal atoned for his error

I have no agenda against anyone (except Paul and Kaboul maybe lol).

I think Lamela was lively but as I wrote never really in full control of the situation. Misplacing passes, dribbling into nowhere, first touch went yaaards away. Walker and Lamela were out there when West Ham shat all over us for 70 minutes.
Chadli was on the pitch when we cotrolled the game. Coincidence? I don't know. But a 6 isnt a very good rate but I don'T see why the others deserve more.

THIS IS WHY WE NEEDED KONOPLYANKA (or any decent winger). The wide options are killing us. To get the best out of Kane and Eriksen we need other players to preoccupy the defenders as well.
I hate these kind of posts, based on what?

Is it Konoplyanka's impressive 0 assists in 22 games, mostly in the mighty Ukrainian league?

Should have brought Soldado on...Oh wait apparently he did come on!
Except he did... Had a few good touches and almost scored.

Christ, so many invalids on this site.

All the inept performances registered today and you choose to bash a player who came on after the damage was done and in no way at fault?

Yes coincidence, Chadli did fuck all when he came on... Not his fault but I'm certainly not going to attribute the comeback to his cameo.

The reason we fought back was momentum, mixed with W'ham losing their shape with the Carton Cole subs and a huge sprinkling of luck.

Are you his agent?.. He was fucking ineffective , as he has been for the last two years.

I also think you may have used the word invalid in the wrong context.. unless you're a mobility scooter salesman.

It's just easy to bash Soldado. People slate a few players hoping for easy rep when there's no actual just cause for doing so.

Lamela was comfortably our best player in the second half, but because he didn't come through the academy and he isn't one of the golden boys, he still gets vitriol from a bunch of posters baying for his blood any time he puts a foot wrong.

There was a thread a few weeks ago about whether our fans are fickle, and some laughably said "not at all". The vocal minority are amongst the most fickle fuckers on the planet, and are only happy when they've got something to moan about or if we're trouncing teams. There's no happy medium.

Thought Rose had a great game today, to be fair, and deserved MotM. Flukey goal and odd that he didn't even look bothered by scoring it. Maybe he felt a little embarrassed, but nonetheless he was the best of a bad bunch today.

No, if you read my post before making a stupid comment you'll see it's because he warrants respect from the opposition and spreads a defense out. Lamela and Townsend starting let West Ham put everyone in the middle on Kane and the CAM because they weren't going to get past Jenkinson and Cresswell once in 100 matches.

Like I said, it wasn't until Chadli came on that we scored our goals.

Why? Because there was a third threat.

I also said it didn't have to be Konoplyanka. Just a decent winger. Put Mahrez into that starting lineup and we'd have won today.

If you think the reason we drew the game was because of Chadli's introduction then I literally cannot debate with you on footballing matters.

It was Noble coming off and Chadli coming on, that changed the game.

Poch got it all wrong at the start and corrected as he went on, Fat Sam got it right at the start and all wrong at the end.

Same happens with Paulinho. He's not been at fault for any of poor results but people choose to blame him simpy because he exists.

We could have literally swapped Vertonghen for Fazio and would most likely have got the same scoreline.

Would you be here harping on how Fazio was a game changer?

Think you're trying to force an angle of analysis where there is none, it seems to be all the new rage for the new football fan/aspiring manager hybrids.

Bentaleb, Lloris and Rose all had decent games. The rest were a bit meh :meh:. I gave MoM to Bentaleb because he made the least mistakes in his role.

Nobody was Paulinho bad but we were out thought tactically by BFS yet again. We really need to get the balance of the team right. Eriksen and Lamela don't look good on the pitch at the same time. Today we needed Eriksen because we were always going to face a packed defence and we were always likely to get free kicks in dangerous positions.

Mason had a poor game today and when that happens we always seem to struggle. I'd quite like to see him in his old no.10 role but we have nobody who can fill his current position. Dembele certainly isn't the answer in either of those positions. I'd love to see us sign someone like Hector Herrera and push Mason forward but that's just a pipe dream :(.
