MOM close call between Kane and Eriksen but I will go with Eriksen because he scored as well.

Is there a team option? thought the whole team played for each other as a solid unit and was a pleasure to watch, everyone played great but if i had to choose it would be Kane.

Give them all a 10. Poch's team selection was a 10 today (will ignore the subs as we won).

I went the other way and thought Kane deserved the nod honorable mentions for Bentaleb and soldado really good team performance

Best overall performance this season imo! Some really good performances. People like Fazio, Davies and Chiriches were all very good. Bentaleb and Mason buzzed around, worked hard and used the ball excellently. Soldado and kane both produced graft and quality. Eriksen was outstanding. Lennon was solid and offered us defense and attack on the right.

Let's not get carried away though. It was a competent performance that would win games against the majority of the league, but it is still some way from where we want to be. However, it was a massive step in the right direction and for once it was actually entertaining.

No standouts for me. Thought it was one cohesive well drilled team effort which was great to see until we understandably ran out of gas

Sensational: Kane, Eriksen, Mason, Bentaleb, Verthonghen, Poch
Brilliant: Lloris, Chiriches, Fazio, Davies, Lennon, Lamela, Paul, Soldado, Dier

Best performance since Harry's time IMO.

Been eagerly awaiting Mason and Bentaleb playing together. Both fight, both Harry, both keep the ball, both get forward, both can pick a pass. They could go on to become a CM pairing for 10 years. You couldn't tell we didn't have a ball winner today as the two of them, and Eriksen, chased everything. Can't seem Capoue or Dembele getting in ahead of them IMO. Stambouli is still new so always going to be a transitional season for him but the two boys showed more fight, desire and ability than I've ever seen from Capoue and not seen for a long time from Dembele. That decision won us this game IMO. So happy for the two of them, and everyone involved in our academy. Buzzing

Lloris - 8 - Wasn't tested that much but he was solid when needed, took the ball well from crosses into the box, came out well a couple of times to snuff out the through ball and was not at fault for their goal

Vlad - 6 - Mixed bag, looked good on the ball at times but switched off on more than one occasion and was often sloppy

Fazio - 8 - was a rock at the back and deserved his bit of luck following the hand ball

Verthonghen - 8 - equally solid at he back, immense performance from the guy

Davies - 8 - far and away his best performance in a Spurs shirt, was solid in defense and contributed going forward. If he keeps this up Rose won't get back in

Lennon - 8 - fantastic performance from Lennon. Created the winning goal and worked hard the entire time he was on both tracking back, pressing off the ball and offerring that attacking threat going forward which really nullified Baines and kept Everton on the back foot

Bentelab - 8 - Was very solid in the middle, calm on the ball and played some very neat and tidy stuff. Look out of sorts against BArkely first half but grew into the game and took control

Mason - 7 - another good game from the lad, too found it difficult to marshall Barkely and at times gave the ball away but he and Bentelab as a CM2 were the best I've seen in Spurs this season and they dominated an Everton team I expected to over run them. Capoue has to step up big time if he wants first team football for us now

Erkisen - 8 - Fantastic, played out of position but looked as classy as he does at his best. Worked hard off the ball too and came up with numerous important interceptions. Managed the ball well and his desire to get in to the box and look for a rebound from a move he started on the half way line was fantastic. Great game, the boy is a star

Kane - 9 - The best of the lot. Strong, determined, skifull and always making things happen. He ran his bollocks off today for the team and played a key role in both goals. A constant threat to Everton and the real driving force in our team's victory. Well deserved MOTM award on and off the ball he was great. Keeps getting better

Soldado - 8 - So happy for Bobby, took his goal really well and deserved to be the match winner. All game he was working hard and making intelligent runs. His movement created space for Kane who's shot lead to the first goal and of course he won the match with his own strike. Was isolated once Lennon was subbed and rightly subbed but today was a big day for Bobby and hopefully his confidence will grow and soon he will be the striker we all want him to be

Lamela - 6 - Worked hard and tried to make things happen. It was probably the wrong game for him and certainly in my opinion the wrong time to bring him on. He couldn't contain Baines the way Lennon had and wasn't making the right passes in dangerous areas when he got forward. That said he did show potential as always and was making the right type of runs for the counter attack (think he needs to do some strength training and develop his explosive power)

Paulinho - 6- Didn't have much involement in the game, we were largely defending and he was often bipassed. Was unlucky with his through ball to Lamela and made a decent run which would have presented him a chance had Kane passed to him instead of running in to the box. Was probably the wrong sub for the occasion but didn't do anything wrong today

Kane Motm - but like others, thought it was a really strong team performance all the through the team.

It was great to see a CM pairing that were capable of performing more than one function. Both Mason and Bentaleb defended and pressed excellently, and were capable of spraying the ball, or playing it quick into feet. Dembele/Capoue are too 1 dimensional and don't half the passion and desire that a youth product should have.

So proud of the whole team today apart from Chiriches. They all worked so hard and we actually looked like a team that wanted to be out there and win. Everyone deserves a pat on the back! best Tottenham performance I've seen at home for a long time.

lloris -- 7.5 for all he does, seen and/or unseen
davies - 7 as the clear LB #1
Vertonghen - 8 really lead from the back
Fazio - 6.5 and he did not embarrass tonight, cheers for that
chiriches - 6.5,... would've been a 7 but for that silly yellow card
Bentaleb - 7 with a full 90 minute performance
Mason - 6 having run around quite a bit, but not too much focus or retention of possession tonight
Lennon - 7, best game of the season for him
Kane - 8 and really forced it all to work up top
Eriksen - 8.5 without him Spurs do not win tonight
Soldado - 6.5,... without the goal he did not press or do much else
Dier - 7 great lad and future starting CB next to Verts
Lamela - 6 as the bull in the china shop and wasted opportunities to kill off the game
Paulinho - 7 shut some panicky midfield problems down and was strong in the air

all played well in general and Spurs lose without Eriksen IMHO -- Eriksen MotM for me (yes, I loved Kane's performance too)

I thought Vlad played well today, his one mistake that I counted was the underhit pass back to Lloris but I thought when he was replaced by Dier we lost a bit of our solidity.

Hard to look past Harry Kane today but I think Ben Davies also deserves a shout out. He really defended well against the threat of Coleman I thought.

I'll admit that I have thankfully been proven wrong. I did not post on the site, but when I saw the starting 11 the first thing I did was scream because I thought we were too lite in the midfield. I thought Barkley and Eto would play straight through us and I was ready to criticise Poch. However we were brilliant, we really were. Bentaleb and Mason were a phenomenal partnership in the park. It comes at such a relief that those two and Kane know exactly what the other intends to do before they even do it.

I read a few comments in the Dembele transfer thread where some posters were saying Everton are not on our level and that they're a weaker side than us. This I completely disagree with us, Everton are a fantastic side who always seem so in control of a game. Before this match I dare say they have been better than us all season. For us to do that to them is really something, because they clearly are not a mid table team any more.

Loris - 7: Not much to do, but was ready when called upon. Nothing he could do for their goal either.
Chiriches - 6: A few mishaps but an overall solid performance, he has a Hollywood style of defending, and cannot keep focus for 90 mins, but he played well for the most part today.
Fazio - 8: Best defensive performance to match Kaboul at Arsenal.
Vertonghen - 8: See Fazio
Davies - 8: Danny Rose has been very good so far, but Davies really made a claim today.

Mason - 7: A few miss passes, but he moved the ball well.
Bentaleb - 9: Close to the MOTM for me, was a brilliant link from the defence to the midfield. He broke up play superbly.
Lennon - 8: The ITK looked right today, lennon really working hard for his place. I love Lamela, but lennon did a lot more today than he would.
Eriksen - 8: Good game for Christian, he worked hard and was only ever really caught out once.

Kane - 9: Similar to Bentaleb, he was the link from midfield to attack, we need to keep him no matter what.
Soldado - 8: It finally went right for him, but now begins the real test. Can he do it again?

Great game. I was wrong about Mason and Bentaleb in a midfield 2. They were both excellent. Bentaleb was my motm but there were at least another 9 contenders (Sorry Vlad).

Stoked for Soldado and Fazio was commanding.

Great game agains a good team.
