Dier was outstanding (Edit: so was Rose) and MOTM I thought. Not the long-term DM solution though. Definitely will be a world-class CB though IMO.

Don't think anyone had a bad game to be honest.

Dier was great but I'll give MOTM to Vertonghen since I moaned about him last week and he did really well today.

Kane was the worst player on the pitch. He needs competition. He's running like he has lead-filled boots.

Dier the best, Vertonghen was decent. Love Rose.

Vertonghen and Alderweireld looked decent together today, but not the greatest of pressures on them.

Dembele had influence over opposition until he got injured.

Rose was very good containing attacks from Everton's right. Close for MotM.

Dier edges it though - a strong performance and no reason why he can't be our DM.

Nice to see Pritchard get an appearance, but wish Poc had made that change 10-15 mins earlier.

Great to have Rose back. He really has won me over and I think him alone gives the whole squad some energy.

Vertonghen I thought looked back to his old self. Hope he can keep it up.

A real shame Kane couldn't finish off the one on one. Alli looks like he has a lot of potential to go far.

Chadli... same old story with him. Squad player at best.

Lloris 6- Fine, still dodgy with his feet though
Walker 6- Not one of his worst, not one of his best. Frustrates me personally.
Toby 6.5- Solid enough, did his job.
Vertonghen 7- Defensively better, technically very good.
Rose 7.5- Top performance again, doesn't take any shit and overlaps really well. MOM
Bentaleb 6.5- Bounced back well from previous poor displays.
Dier 7- Best midfield performance from him, defensively great but still limited in possession and being able to beat players.
Dembele 6- OK
Chadli 5.5- Started off brightly but got more frustrating as the game went on. Blazed a sitter over the bar.
Mason 6.5- Good all round player is Mason, just needs to improve his finishing a bit.
Kane 6- Not his best game, but wasn't dreadful.

Alli 6- Tried to make things happen

Mason played well first half and made some good runs. Bentaleb weren't too terrible.

Textbook slowing down of the game to take the sting out of our momentum. Normally its the opposing team doing it though.

Rose had a great game and kept Lukaku quiet, Dier was excellent too!

We did everything today but score, Kane's miss one-on-one was disappointing.

Dier is growing in his new role, Rose makes a big difference and Vertonghen keeping Lukaku quiet is now expected.

Those in advanced positions continue to disappoint, I've seen a lot of praise for Dembele today but IMO it was more of the same perfectly summed up in one sequence.

He's in the box being closed down by three defenders with a fourth keeping an eye on him, to his left (two yards away) Kane is unmarked and has enough space to take a touch and shoot but Dembele doesn't seem him, instead he tries to dribble again and loses the ball.

Another game we should have won. poor finishing cost us two points. After their initial 20 minutes where they reminded me of us we outplayed them and won all the statistics except the one that matters. Clean sheet, my word.

Lloris.............6+...........Not much to do but did it well One brilliant save.
Walker...........6.............Decent again but so hesitant when on the attack. Usual Walkerism.
Alderweireld..7.............Good player and always looks up. Building a good double act with Verts.
Verts.............7+............More positive today. Thought I saw him dribble and shoot in their area. Hallo Specsavers?
Rose.............8..............Do I not like this boy. Fiery, keeps the width and tackles back. My MOM today
Dier...............7+............Good game. Taking his 'destroyer' role a bit too seriously.
Bentaleb.......7-.............Welcome back the real Nabil. Trying a bit too hard perhaps.
Mason...........7..............Got forward well and a superb ball for Harry's 'miss'. Could have had two againj
Dembele........7+...........More positive today. Pity he got injured at an important point
Chadli............6-............Some nice work out wide but poor shooting today.

Alli.................Got into dangerous areas well. Needs composure which will come.
