always thought Davies was a good player it's amazing what a run of games can do for a players confidence

giving him my MOTM cuz Kane gets them all the time

and agree it was clear we took our foot off the gas on purpose solid team performance

Credit to him, it is due, but it is also amazing what it can do to a player to have a coach who sets up the team to hide everybody's flaws.

damn! a turn the game off with just stoppage time to play and I miss Sissoko's goal. Was it nice?

It's pretty crazy that we have a 100% record away from home (4 wins) and yet 0 wins out of 3 at home. Doesn't make any sense.

Really happy for Ben Davies, didn't think he could step up but he's playing like an absolute demon, his decision making is utterley superb. Before the match Redknapp was singing his praised calling him Mr reliable which I count agree more.

Interesting game. Davies and Kane were excellent.

Eriksen and alli were involved but struggled to impact the game.

I actually thght winks and dier lost the midfield battle today. Huddersfield dominated that part of the pitch for large periods but it was our fullback and kane that came up trumps when it mattered.

Saying that, what a great lesson for winks. I don't think he will have a harder game today as mooy was on his case from the whistle. He didn't why away from the fight either.

Our defence pretty much just shut their attack down. If that back 3 stay fit all season I can see us absolutely dominating matches in the second half of the season.

I know who is NOT my man of the match, Dele.

A win but the second half performance has flatten it for me. Play like this against better teams and we will be trounced. Despite scoring 4 and keeping a clean sheet, wasn't convincing to me.

I would have kept on Eriksen to play with Son instead of Dele

Credit to Davies but I will give Kane MOTM again

[EDIT] Based on all you responses to me its obvious that my post above must have been misinterpreted. If we played like we did the 2nd half we would be trounced not the total match. If the match had finished at half time most payers would have deserved a 10

I don't think it has been misinterpreted, we played like that because we could afford to take our foot off the gas. I am sure it was the intended tactic personally in order to try and alleviate some of the burn out we have endured towards the end of the last couple of seasons. Three games in 7 days including a long trip to Cyprus was the reason we played that way, no other reason. Poch has said numerous times now we need to learn when to play hard, and when not to. The second half today was very much the second case due to the game being already over.

Was surprised Eriksen played as long as he did considering his illness in the week.

so a 40 yard screamer even though Sky describes it as a rebound goal?

Sissoko played the ball off lloris's cross bar and then from the half way line scored and overhead kick too corner......

shhh guys don't tell him it took a big deflection and wrong footed the keeper!!

I thought Sissoko gave their keeper the eyes and sent him the wrong way!!!

Fair points, But as I said or implied I think we switched off too early, which could have hurt us had we been playing a better team. They say winning is a habit, so is how we perform as well.

Context is everything. We were in full control of the game, being 3 - 0 up. In addition, in the last 3 weeks we have played 7 games, winning 6 and drawing one. Although I was disappointed that we stepped off the gas during the game, with hindsight I think we were right to take it a bit easier and not risk unnecessary injuries.

Did they even have a shot on target In the second half, defensively second half was very good though.

Davies is starting to get a little bit of the Dennis Irwins about him. No outstanding facets, but just doing everything really well and affecting games.

Davies my MOTM

Lots of mention of his improvement going forward but I would also like to highlight his growing defensive prowess. For a bit of a small guy, he's really becoming a rock at the back. He wins almost all crosses heading towards his back post. Think Danny Rose might be the one finding himself being googled soon
