You think I'm pissed now, you should have seen me when 6th was a pipe dream.

I remember the days well. As I've said before, I started supporting Spurs in 1990. However, I didn't celebrate 5th under Jol because we were 5th, but because it felt like we were on the cusp of something great.

I think we can expect more from the club. I'm not expecting 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, but we have the quality to seriously compete for 4th if the players are used right. I firmly believe that a better manager would have this group of players still right in the mix for a top four spot.

Thing is, we're very lucky at the moment to even be where we are in the league.

United have had a complete mess of a season, lost four in a row until last week, Liverpool have been all over the shop, Southampton keep throwing games lately, Everton have had a comparatively awful season...

We're honestly lucky we've not been comfortably pushed out of the top 8. We've stolen enough last minute wins and we've barely lost a game where we haven't deserved it (probably just Liverpool away).

I look forward to a summer of continued player turnover and another season of 4-2-3-1 awfulness.

I disagree. I don't think this team's individual components are good enough right now to compete with any of the top 4. They were until they sold Modric, VDV and Bale and before Adebayor's early retirement, add King in there and we 4 and a half world class players. Now we have none - certainly none yet.

I think the club are doing all they can. They invested all the Bale money for example. And I don't think Pochettino has failed, given the strength of this squad, but I sure as shit think he's made some mistakes, and I don't really see much evidence of his "philosophy". And he's been lucky other clubs have had dodgy seasons.

We're, what, three victories over Burnley, Villa, and Stoke from being one point behind 4th placed United and you think we're not good enough to compete with the top 4?

Ok, we played shit and got what we deserved................

Seriously though saying Poch don't have a clue??? We have been a yo-yo club long before Poch. It seems most of the squad has hit bad form at the same time. Usually its just 1 or 2 players but it seems most of them have hit bad form at the same time. Maybe it's a mental thing because not too long ago we were raving about how good some of them was

The quicker we accept these results can happen, the quicker we will still get behind the team when they need us most

Did anyone think Everton would have done the same to Man U?
I'm not saying Poch is manager of the year but he's a damn sight better then some of the shit we've had at the helm in the past
He is not better if he sticks to a tactic that is not working, players who are not performing and yet still believes this the way forward. We certainly have had better based on the last few performances. Not saying that we have to get rid off, but he needs to start travel to that steep learning curve.

Not really, SK. United have been in post-Fergie disarray for two years. They'll be far better next year. Wenger does his top 4 stuff every year, and they'll have more money to spend for next year. The oil clubs will buy their spots as usual. This leaves us and 'pool battling for 5th. It's groundhog day all over again. I think Poch has done fine given what he's had...screwed up a few times, especially late season, but that's partly because of squad fatigue, injuries, the need for rotation and probably because he's been under Levy orders to put store dummies like Chiriches and Soldado in the shop window. My guess is the squad clearout at end of season will be even more drastic than most of us imagine. I hope so, but don't expect much from next season in terms of top 4 unfortunately.

Well yes, really, actually.

We were more than capable of winning those games. We certainly had better players.

I'm not talking about next year, I'm talking about how the club compares to our current rivals. We were more than capable of pushing for 4th this season, and I suspect a better manager would still have us in the running.

City and Utd underperformed way more than we did given their respective squads and budgets. We had cheap losses, but they had worse given the above. We also had great victories, Chels and Arse for example. Think you're being too hard on Poch in his first season.

Soldado coming on yesterday was Monty Python comedy gold....i don't know whether to laugh or cry at the way we are right now.

i think Levy should give our amazing supporters who went to Stoke their money back and abit extra for counselling.

His first season is nowhere near as impressive as AVB in terms of points gained and goals conceeded, and he was seen as the wrong man for the job .

He has also been extremely lucky that Harry Kane came along and scored 30 goals for him.

Please tell me why the majority of us knew that was gonna happen yesterday before a ball was kicked ? How we knew mason and chiriches would be terrible ? How we knew we wouldnt score or create and how playing four centre halfs with a couple of weaklins in front was a recipe for a disaster- yet our clueless fucking manager doesn't?!! He can't change it and he has no plan b. can't wait to see the next starting lineup oh wait none of the twats performed again which means they get another go. Absolute shambles of a club. It's getting very boring now

Vlad, without a doubt.

Because at least after he got himself sent off I could relax and stop deluding myself about the possibility of a comeback.

I'm still thinking about it.

I might give it to Fazio for the pleasure of seeing him bulldoze Adam at one point...

I'm still trying to think which one of the top managers plays the same clowns that don't perform week in week out and I can't think of any? Small club mentality, play crap consistently but you will still get a game. Pathetic

I think that's more about the top four under performing. They are all 3-5 victories over teams they should be beating away from pulling miles away from us.

For us to achieve fourth would have meant Pochettino getting us to be better than the sum of our parts by at least a couple of places IMO.
