FSG have massively reduced wages in the last 12 months so these figures aren't a true reflection of our current wage bill. FSG have aggressively went after the wage bill so much and so fast, that our supporters union are very suspicious about this and are anxiously waiting for the latest accounts to be released as they fear a repeat of the Hicks & Gillette fiasco. However, these figures won't be available until the accounts for this season become public, which won't be till at least another 12-18 months.

I imagine the wage spend gap between our two clubs will be closer than it has been for a while, but would expect Liverpool to still have the bigger wage bill overall.

Can I just point out as well that BR has never said anything about winning possession or passing nonsense. Both these things started because of a Parody account on Twitter that has made itself up to look nearly identical to the official LFC account and has been putting out pretend quotes about winning passing and having Gonorrhoea, that obviously a lot of people are believing actually came from BR.

Club are trying to have the accont shut down 0r at least renamed to stop the confusion between it and our official Twitter account.

However, BR does come out with some awful, David Brent-like cliches but is slowly learning to knock that on the head now.

I respect Liverpool as a club and their history speaks for itself but for me they have always been the most detestable club/fans in the League.

I know a lot of football fans are blinkered to an extent (same way every one thinks their missus is fit) but Liverpool fans take it to a whole new level. All that "more than a club" stuff is tosh. Real steaming tosh.

Liverpool fans are the worse for the "we deserve to be at the top" mentality.

West Ham fans are worst overall....animals...

Finally, I d0 wish pe0ple w0uld st0p giving any credence t0 what the deluded, immature cl0wns 0n RAWK think.

It bears no relation to what your normal, run-of-the-mill, sane Liverpool fan is thinking.

If your are looking to get an LFC fans opinion on something or want to know what we are thinking etc, then please go to a forum that's more representative of the common, normal, Liverpool fan and what they think/believe, such as Est1892 or The Liverpool Way, or even ask me on here in the "Laugh At Liverpool" thread and I'll give you as honest, and informed an answer as I possibly can, as long as they are genuine questions, and not just part of some partisan argument.

Tolea, have you been watching This is Liverpool? What are your thoughts on it? I'm not sure I'd like Spurs to make a series like that, Rodgers looks like he's trying too hard for the cameras

Toela65 I would agree that some of the posters on the likes of RAWK are of the extreme type, we would have some like that here.

However living in Ireland we have alot of Liverpool fans here, which I have to listen to. These fans have a lot of the worst traits found on RAWK. Constant claims at how we pay SO much more for players and wages, and a complete denial of the poor position the club is currently in. The constant belief of a right to be a winning club and lack of respect of the likes of Spurs who have become stronger by doing things the right way, while forgetting they tried to buy their way up the league, very badly (Henderson & Carroll for £55m???).

Many fans brought up on the glorious days of the 80's now know what it feels like to be a proper fan, when things are really fucking tough (we know, how long did we go through it???) and funny how so many have lost their passion for the club. Its a good wake up call the the club and its support.

I really used to root for Liverpool, but in the past 5 years I've slowly turned against them. Just a series of small things have grated and now I couldn't care what they do as long as it doesn't effect Spurs.

Toela is the swinging factor for me now, I hope they implode.

They've been pretty turd for the last 6 years, barring 2 players digging them out of the shit again and again. Funny how they weren't a 2 man team yet when Torres lost form and Gerrard got older they got shitter and shitter, Hodgson was in, they didn't fancy him and hounded him out with calls for Kenny (again, a hark back to the 'Glory Days'...trapped in nostalgia).

They still talk up Rafa for fuck sake.

And as for Toela's claim that the majority of fans aren't like the cases mentioned, I disagree vehemently. Liverpool fans in the 20's-40's bracket have seen very successful periods and trophies for most of their early lives and think it's the usual, they think they're entitled and it seeps out of every pore. The amount that are realistic are in the vast minority.

So yeah, fuck Liverpool. Fuck them up their stupid arses.

I'm not bothered by Liverpool fans, just as I am not bothered about most other premiership clubs. However much like on here, I prefer to read informed or reasoned arguments. I think it's quite narrow minded to draw generlisations when after all we are all from the same country and it's highly unlikely we differ that much from them. If you were to go on any other football site I can bet you anything Spurs fans will be rated among the worst. Whether that's being fickle or expecting too much. I suppose it's just part and parcel of being a tribal football fan.

If you fancy a giggle, rawk is always a good place to go. Especially when they talk about Lucas http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=300247.760

The gems are, apparently they would be top 4 easily if Lucas was fully fit, and they have by far and away the best back 5 in the premier league when Lucas is playing. Oh, and to top it all off, they believe that Sandro isn't fit to lace Lucas's boots, and neither is Mascherano (nor was he ever). :D

If you do not believe that Scousers are vastly different from londoners (heck, even vastly different from mancunians) then you obviously have never been there, and your only experience of scousers was watching Jennifer Ellison's bits bounce around on Brookside.

Leeds is an odd one really. They are fiercely proud of their City. I actually spent the NYE just gone there, and I have to admit everyone there was lovely, except the people actually from Leeds. They were massively condescending with their "This is Leeds" bollocks (you would have thought that I was from some farmers village, not the capital city that is about 12x the size of theirs), one of the birds attempted to make off with my coat, none had heard of the words please or thank you, and when I asked one bloke (who lived in the house with a girl i know) if I could borrow a rizla and he stared at my then said with utter venom "No. Fuck off." And proceeded to stare at me across the room for the next two mins whilst talkin about me (I knew because he said my girlfriends name).

So as for Leeds, it is quite a beautiful town, and every person I have ever met from Leeds outside of Leeds have been great. Whenever I have been there though, the locals seem to be able to barely control their animosity to outsiders.

They are a funny bunch though and RAWK never fails to provide a good laugh lol

I used to work with three Liverpool fans and my God were they the most difficult people to talk to about anything regarding football. One of them in particular wouldn't hear anything negative said about any aspect of the club and came out with such bullshit as "Jay Spearing is the best young midfielder in the league".

They must have been part of the RAWK minority though, eh?

I've been to Leeds a couple of times, and found the people to be exceptionally friendly. The most miserable people always seem to be in posh places. It doesn't matter how polite you are, they just look at you like you are a <CRIMESTOPPERS UK> waiting to happen.

Made time today to come here and offer my thoughts on yesterdays game and the Suarez incident, and also to answer this thread from yesterday and see if there was anything I could offer.

However, the replies I've had here since my last post has just gone to show what I was starting to think anyway, that most football fans aren't interested in non-partisan and balanced football discussion. They want to remain in their clubs own little bubble where they can have their own biases and opinions on their club and other clubs constantly reinforced.

Its like right wing people who only watch Fox News because it confirms and supports their right wing values and wishes etc, even though they are fully aware that News channel is being completely unbalanced and basically feeding them Republican propaganda.

I don't wanna live in that bubble where I just have others like me, with similar biases towards my club, tell me how great we are, and how everything is going to be great etc etc. I like to see how people outside of the LFC bubble see things as it gives me a fuller picture and a more balanced view of where the club currently is.

Basically, what I'm saying is there is zero point me giving my views as very few are interested in them or an outsiders opinion as it is clear I'm not in the Spurs bubble so won't always go along with the prevailing narrative of the majority here, especially when it comes to my club and its fans (which I think many peoples judgements about are gravely misinformed for several reasons, mainly being the media and the non-representative-of-the-average-match-going-fan idiots on RAWK and Twitter).

A lot have decided exactly what all LFC fans are like, and what they think etc, and refuse to accept anything that challenges this pre-conception or proves it false.

I'll just go back to lurking unless I have a direct question about Spurs.

Thank you though for the people who did engage in a friendly way and did show interest in what an outsider and a Liverpool fan thought. I appreciated it greatly.

Have a successful end to the season and hope you keep Chelsea out of the top 4!!
