Watching him on SS2 and very very impressed! He looks like a character we could use in our coaching staff. Would add a bit of winning mentality.

Would you take him at Spurs in some capacity or another?

He also said he thinks we're the best team in the League attacking wise.

Yup....also just seen on FB an old school friend who is now living in Newcastle, and has a season ticket there, has said he has heard that Ray Wilkins is in the apparent shortlist along with Jol....

Thing is, it's rumoured that Chrissy was sacked because he wasn't "showbusiness" enough for them, but so far the shortlist includes Martin, Pardew & now Wilkins here - none of them are exactly what i'd call showbiz :shrug:

I dont agree with that at all. People were saying the same about Chrissy and look how well he did.

Wilkins has been in the game long enough to know how its done. Also managing a premier league team isnt exactly rocket science. You have to be a well liked personality with a certain mentality and you're 80% there.

Wilkins seems to say the right things, and to me, comes across as a very good man manager. The way he was talking about Drogba tells me he knows how to handle players.

I like him. I think he'd do well.

Ray Wilkins is Chelsea through and through. We don't need anymore ex gooners/Chelsea coaches/players. Although it will be difficult to stop Wenger becoming our new Chirpy mascot, what with the entertaining young children tag on the job.
