8th will be good enough with the strike-force we have. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

Jol had us in a similar position with Berbatov and Keane! Those 2 players were the best strike partnership in the league.

Mido isn't considered a top striker and before Jol arrived, Keane was being linked with £5 million moves to Celtic, Villa or Everton. But with those 2 as our strike force we finished 5th. Just because Keane is now seen as a player worth £20 million, doesn't mean he was in 2005. We had Keane and Berbatov as our strike force last season and we only won 5 league games after Xmas. Darren Bent scored 18 goals in 1 Prem season. I don't think the likes of Man City or Villa have stirkers who have a proven record of scoring 15+ goals in the Prem.

No one mentioned Big Scam...bloody hell. Dull footy, the police & panorama sniffing round & next Ivan Campo.

If it's that or the fizzy leagues then let's go!

Err, Allardyce was bloody good at beating Arsenal (and us as I recall). If it does cost us silly money to get rid of Ramos before he takes us down then Allardyce would probably be one of the better candidates we could a) attract, and b) afford.

And Bolton weren't boring - Allardyce was pretty good at getting the best out of so-called flair attacking players like Okocha and Diouf. He had them playing whatever way got results which, in my opinion, is a) what a manager is paid for and b) what Ramos is failing to do by quite a margin.

What I find curious is how the arguments in favour of Ramos have changed over time, from:

"We have a fantastic squad, we just need the right manager to get the best out of them"

to:

"We won't be able to judge Ramos until he is able to bring in his own players"

to:

"Obviously there have been lots of changes, so the team needs time to gel"

I might find this last argument more convincing if we fielded the same team in the same formation two games running. I was baffled by our transfer activity in the summer and could not imagine what Ramos had in mind. The answer seems to be nothing in particular.

Ramos for more time. But I feel a loss at home next weekend to hull could maybe see the axe fall, and maybe justifiably so!

One thing is for sure though.... the players have to pull fingers out of arses!

I also feel if Ramos was to go, I would like to see commoli go with and Roy Keane put in Full charge of the club. He'd kick some bums!

Eventhough I don't think it's realistic in the slightest - Rijkaard would be our best option.

Not when hearing what went on in Barca. If you don't know.......learn and think before you write down some populistic jibberish

Perhaps we should take that bloke who has taken Hamburg to the top of the Bundesliga?

To be honest that's a false position and people are getting a bit carried away with what's going on at Hamburg. Their target will be a top 6 finish this season, but some good early form has got the casual observers from Spurs thinking they will be in the CL shake up. The top 3 in Germany are fairly solid and no team will break in this season. HSV finished 4th last year, but 10 pts behind 3rd, which in a 34 game per season league, is a big gap. On top of that they've lost VDV, who was vital to them. Their Chairman has already come out and said this season is about development. They've brought in 7 new players, mostly from South America and the Bundesliga 2 (german 2nd division). If any team challenges the big 3, it will be Bayer of maybe Stuttgart, as they've both strengthend well. Once Hamburg have one or two injuries they will drop back, as whilst they've got a good first 11, they are the weakest of the top 6 in terms of squad depth.

Yes but imagine what he could do with a squad of top players... Like ours ;-)

Maybe we should have just kept that bloke we had a year back instead of breaking the bank on this tactical genius who plays 4-5-1 then subs a striker for a striker when we are 2-0 down, makes sense doesn't it, we may aswell have just got back on the coach early.

I'm very frustrated by this guys tactics, half the time the players are playing out of position and don't know what there doing.

Problem is sacking this twat would cost the club over £20 million and I can't see Daniel know it all Levy doing that, thats 2/3rds of Berbatovs transfer fee gone already, but I guess its a case of do you want to part with £20 million or lose more and play in the 2nd tier of english football cos thats where we are heading no if and buts, the only place is down for us all the while we play these pathetic tactics.

Rant over.

Isn't all the managerial chopping and changing what is causing most of our problems of the recent years?
I say stick with what we got, he even said it would be Xmas before we start getting the kind of football and results from the team, in the meantime I suppose we will float around the bottom third to half way.

I am not a fickle fan who wants to change manager every time we don't start well or lose a few games...

Being fans for the long ride is what makes us strong, otherwise we'll be Newcastle in no time at all!

IF Ramos was to get the boot (AND thats a big IF, I think Comolli will get the boot before Juande does) then there is only one man who could bring the feel good factor to the lane, BMJ!

Levy make a grovelling appology to Jol, sack Comolli and stay out of the big man's way!

In all seriousness what has happened to Juande? What happened to the guy who would see Spurs go a goal behind and then sub a defender for a striker, go a goal or two up and then revert back to normal tactics? I miss that Juande! He now just looks lost on the touchline! Makes me worried that something wrong is going on behind the scenes at the club

Everyone said, loud enough for the others to hear: "Look at the Emperor's new clothes. They're beautiful!"

"What a marvellous train!"

"And the colours! The colours of that beautiful fabric! I have never seen anything like it in my life!" They all tried to conceal their disappointment at not being able to see the clothes, and since nobody was willing to admit his own stupidity and incompetence, they all behaved as the two scoundrels had predicted.

A child, however, who had no important job and could only see things as his eyes showed them to him, went up to the carriage.

"The Emperor is naked," he said.

"Fool!" his father reprimanded, running after him. "Don't talk nonsense!" He grabbed his child and took him away. But the boy's remark, which had been heard by the bystanders, was repeated over and over again until everyone cried:

"The boy is right! The Emperor is naked! It's true!"
And there, perhaps, you have it…
