The Pollster missed out the option *None of the Above* so I voted for Hoddle, not that he'll come or be asked, he's turned down 8 managerial jobs apparantly to concentrate on his Academy in Spain.

None of the other choices appealed to me.

Ramos got us into this mess, he has to get us out of it.

The question is: can he get us out of it? I'm now firmly convinced that he can't.

Good God, is it as bad as that? Worse than Derby last year? Worst ever of anyone? Eek

Yep. If Grimsby win a game before we do, we would be the only team in the entire League of 92 teams without a win to our name.

Gordon Strachan is a very good manager. Whether he would leave Celtic is a different matter though.

That's actually not a bad call. I'd still prefer Sven (see above for reasonings) but Strachan wouldn't be bad either.

I'm a little surprised by all the Bilic support. Where's his club pedigree? What has he actually won. To be fair to him, he has performed wonders with Croatia, but he does have access to the cream of the country's talent and they are a talented bunch (Modric included), but whether he can emulate the same sort of success at club level is a whole other matter.

Seriously, Sven all the way. He is a proven winner. In contrast to our current incumbent, his reputation is built on more than achievements at a single club. He has won trophies with every club he has managed, the only exception being Citeh. He's managed in Sweden, Portugal, Italy and England, so has a breadth of knowledge matched by few other managers. In the first instance, he would be able to sort out this mess and in the second, I believe he would be the man to take us forward.

What's more, his appointment would work with or without a DOF system (which I think we need to scrap or at the very least get rid of Comolli), as he has experience of working in both environments.

Strach's not a bad shout but I doubt he'd want to work with a DOF.

I think if we went for Sven he'd go for it.

You don't......the idiots are those that always turns against our team when we're having a bad spell and wants a new manager etc.

But i'm fed up with changing managers and not giving them time....especially when there are so clear why we're playing bad and miss players like Keane and Berbatov.

Pull the 2 best players outta any team with no replacement and that team will struggle.

It goes without saying!

If we get rid of the manager we have to get rid of the DoF as well I think, personally I like Keane, I think he probably stands the best chance of instilling the necessary fight in the players to get us out of this mess. He's a young, ambitious manager which fits us, in my humble opinion.

I can't imagine he would ever work within the DoF structure though, and I can't see why we should stick by this system given the lack of success on the field and continuity in management structure and first team squad.

I partly agree with Talkshowhost86 in that we don't have a squad that should be at the bottom of the league and partly with those who blame the lack of goal threat. I don't think it's the singularly the strikers fault, we're just not creating the chances for them to miss. It's hard to see how changing the manager will help, but I feel we're approaching the point where it can't hurt either.

In truth, I'm perplexed as to why we are as bad as we are, but something has to change and fast or we will be playing Championship football next season, and that won't go well for us.

Has anyone thought of Redknapp? Reckon he might come straight in and do a job. In fact, I reckon if we approached him the day before a game, broke the news at 1.00am the morning of a game then he may even come in for that game and pick the team?

I definitely didn't want Hiddink. he's failed at every club job he's had outside of Holland. If he can't be a success at Betis, Valencia, Real Madrid and Fennerbache, then why should Spurs be any different? I just think most fans are unaware of Hiddinks past and judge him on International football and his time at PSV, which isn't a great way of assesing a future Tottenham coach.

Agree with that Joey but with that same sentiment Old Harry did;nt exactly cover himself in any glory at Southampton now did he? Harry has always been at clubs where the criteria was to either just survive in the PL or finish in mid-table to a possible euro place. Add to that he has never been allowed to spend big fee's i.e. £10m+ per player on players before and we are taking quite a bit of a risk her. His minimum objective next season will be to qualify for Europe, I'm convinced we will survive at ease this season. Is he the man to take us back to that level again......I very much doubt it as he's never managed a club with the expectations that we the fans/the board/media have.

Levy is still expecting Europe this season, I heard him say so on five live.

Every top manager needs to be given a chance in the first place though. He's taken Wham into Europe and won the FA cup with Pompey. Southampton didn't work out, but I think he's been considered very successful at 3 of his 4 clubs. Lots of managers have had terrible records at one club and then gone on to be a success elsewhere. Benitez was poor before Valencia and Wenger got fired for taking Nancy to the bottom of the league, before being given a chance at Moanco. Had Porto not given Mourinho a chance how would know he's a top manager? I think at the end of the day we simply don't know if Redknapp is the man, but as the Ramos experiece showed us, what you've got on your CV or done in the past doesn't really matter once you start a new job.
