So we go in to the biggest season since the 60s when we competed in the top European competition of its time as well as defend the League title.

This season we compete on four fronts.

My aspirations are as follows -

League - challenging for top four when May 11 comes around.

Champions League - Group stage qualification and going on to qualify from the group.

FA Cup - Semi Finals

League Cup - Final and then the lottery of the day to win it and thereby qualify for Europe next season regardless of league position.

My personal desire is to see Spurs consolidate on fourth in the League, even with the strength of our peers.

How do you see the season ending?

Above all else, consolidate 4th in the League. That's going to be massive. If we can do that we can really start to say we've stepped up.

As for the Champions League, I'd like to think that, if we get a good draw, provided we get through to the group stages, that we could get ourselves into the knockout stages. If not, then finish third in the group and get as far as possible in the Europa League.

Pretty much the same PT, I want to see us challenging for a top four spot again this year.

That is priority, although I do believe is going to be more difficult.

CL, I just want us to qualify for it, and then give a good account of ourselves, if we can get out of the group stages, then brilliant.

FA / League Cup - I'd like us to reach at least one final, personally, I'd love it to be the FA Cup (like everyone eh!), but would be good to blag a trophy.

Other than that, I want to see us be more consistant, and start getting more away wins, especially against the bigger clubs.

Yep. Breaking down that drive for top four again, it has to be the case that we continue to take points of the top six and then stiffen up in defending points against the rest. No. more. Wolves.

Premier League - 4th, no less. We have to consolidate 4th place, whether it's at the expense of Man City, Arsenal or Liverpool I don't care, but we need to make sure that Champions League football is not a one off...

Champions League - Qualify for the Group Stage. After that it all depends, we could get an horrific group, or we could get a favourable draw in which expectations change. If we finished 3rd by a point or two, then had a decent run in the Europa League I'd take that. If we made the knock out stage, fantastic...

FA Cup - After the disappointment of last season, I'd hope we'd make the final. As the year ends in 1 this season, we really should be winning it...

League Cup - I'd like to see us play the younger players, the likes of Livermore, Townsend and Mason and the likes of Walker and Rose who are already around the first team. With a favourable draw, if we made the Quarter Final I'd be happy with that...

CL - group stages minimum, if we finish third with 6,7 or 8 pts I wouldn't cry, qualification would be magic

The League will be tough, but we arguably had the best squad last year, so more than anything I want to see a more mature and experienced team from last season. Finishing 4th isn't the minimum for me, but if we finished 4th again, it would be just as magical as last year.

The cups we always show well in, but I'd trade them both now for the group stages.

We are going to win something this season, as the song says its lucky for Spurs when the year ends in 1.

I want to see a trophy or two added to the cabinet. Preferrably the Premiership and Champions League....;)

I don't know if it's an aspiration but my hope is that Harry plays a B team in every game other than the league and CL. No point tiring the players/risking injury. If we get knocked out it's less games to worry about. No coincidence that the two seasons we were out of europe we had two of best prem seasons.

We must absolutely consolidate 4th. We need a good run in the CL for points, experience, prestige and money but there's no point if it means we miss out next time. £1m we earn in the CL is £2m out of the pockets of our rivals.

I'd love to see us finish 3rd in the league, just to prove to all the people who are already saying we have no hope of top 4 this season we really are a team on the up.

Aside from that, i'd be quite happy with group stages of the champions league and win a trophy from FA cup/Lge Cup/Uefa cup. I can't see us getting past the last 16 in champs league on our first attempt.

Minimum top 6 finish.
Minimum 3rd place in the CL group stage.
Win the FA Cup or Carling Cup.

If we don't win either domestic cup, then top 4 to compensate.

Any more than that will be a great bonus.

Getting 4th in the League is going to be tougher than ever IMO. Though i think we still have a great chance. Man City, they've spend loads and have the names they want, but managing to keep them all satisfied will be hard and might take a while for them to gel. Arsenal i think will struggle at periods, but if RVP stays fit, could be troubling.

Champions League, i think we'll just get through the Group stages. Going to have more games than we're use to with CL football, so its going to be tough for the lads.

Domestic Cups we'll do well in as usual, think we defiantly need to get at least one, preferably the F.A. Cup, obviously. Also, would like to see a younger squad for the Carling Cup and at the earlier stages of the F.A. against weaker opposition.

we haven't added any quality to the squad so the highest we will finish imo is 6th.

just to quailfy for the champs league group stages will do me.

domestic cup final.

We will have added Sandro and do you feel that all our players have already hit their peak? you don't think Modric, Bale, Huddlestone etc can all be better than last season?

You don't think Giovani could potentially be a new signing?

Not added quality, what a load of shit. Just because we haven't gone out and spent loads doesn't mean our team will go backwards, its not like we're an aging squad.

Have we really needed to though. We have an excellent squad already. The only thing, arguably, that we are missing is an absolutely top class striker. This time last season everyone was saying we had possibly the best strike force in the league, in terms of the depth of it, though, and we haven't lost any of those 4 players. So what's changed?

Not a lot, that's what. Because we don't need to. We need stability and consistence. The only team that has spent is City, and I'm ok with that. They can buy whoever they want, they can keep that revolving door going, because it means no consistency, no stability.

kendall, spurs mental,

when the manger even states that we need 2-3 players to add to the squad do you not think he knows what he's talking about????

i agree that alot of our players haven't hit there peak but having a few extra faces about the place gives the whole squad a lift. like harry says he wants men not boys and in footballing terms we have alot of boys in the squad that would benifit from having experienced players around them.

we still have 3 weeks left of the window and if we do sign some extra quality than i will change my opinion because after all thats what this forums all about.

Man chester United have just added two first team squad players - both youngsters too, in Smalling and Hernandez.

Granted they have a crack squad in the first place, but nevertheless, they only buy to improve a position, not just for the sake of turnover.

I guess we are not far off that status if the age and maturity of the core of our squad is taken in to account, as well as contract lengths outstanding.

yep. if we don't loan him out, that is just like signing. had a good preseason, sharp work to set up pav against fiorentina.

in addition to sandro, we could have woodgate, gio and keane all effectively additions to the squad
