Considering Redknapp played at the club and Hoddle was a manager under Levy they probably know more than you

I found it very interesting when Hoddle talked about the politics at the club and that the board blocked his approach to sign Eto'o from Real Mallorca. But of course, let's ignore what they say and focus on the fact that they are slagging us off.

Did the board block his approach before or after he bought Dean Richards for 8.5 million?

You mentioned how Hoddle was slagging us off but left out what he actually said.

I don't think we should bow down to Man Utd but I think the board could have handled the whole situation a lot better. The Berbatov saga has dragged on to the point that it has rocked the boat. I would rather have £23-5m and another striker to help Bent and Pavlyuchenko than £30m and no other striker. Pavlyuchenko is cup tied so at the moment Bent is the only striker we have for the UEFA Cup.

I know we still have time to sign another striker but the window is closing soon so we will have to pay over the top as it is a seller's market and we won't have enough time to negotiate the price down or either not sign anyone at all and wait until the next window. Then there is the chance that Berbatov might not go. Man Utd might decide £28-30m is too much and then what? If Berbatov stays I doubt we will see the old Berbatov and he will probably keep sulking until the January transfer window where every club will offer a less than they did now.

He didn't say. All he said was the board blocked his approach to sign Eto'o.

I don't think the were being anti Tottenham, but simplty criticising the way things have been handled this summer. Considering our start and the Berba situtaion, I can't see what else people were exepcting from them. The media have to talk about something to fill up air time, so when Tottenham are the subject, currently it's going to be negative.

I think we might concede in the 2nd half from a shot from just outside the area. Lampard has had 4 attempts from there and Essien has hit the cross bar. We need to close down better.

Hoddle's comments seemed fair, just how he's not fond of the DOF system and i think he was suggesting Pleat blocked the deals. Redknapp however, is a ****. Honestly, he's becoming more and more unwatchable for me. He genuinely seems to have a problem with Spurs and always slags us off in some way every time we're on (and even when we're not).

how many people have disagreed what was said about spurs?
berbatov saga has been joke. Spurs have not once said make this bid and he is yours! the rumours have been there as a result.
the spurs management should have had strikers lined up by now, but they havent.
dont agree with the sell him on the cheap crap, but sell him..... tout him around the continent for £20m

I totally agree, I've just seen a rehash of it on SSN, and let's face it, they're all getting paid the Sky dollar, who are so desperate for MU to sign Berbs they're practically frothing at the mouth!

Jamie has been a total arse all Summer. He was dancing for joy in the papers when Keane signed for Pool. Quite clearly, inspite of being an ex-player, he is very much in the Tim Sherwood category of having no feeling for us whatsoever. In other words, a ****. :shake:

Plus, it's patently obvious he knows nothing other than what the papers say. To state that Berbs is worth the same fee as Keane, and so Spurs should sell him for 20 mill, is total tosh. What a numpty. You might be good looking Jamie, but you're thick as pig $hit.

Thought Hoddles comments where fair.

Redknapp clearly has issues with Spurs. But like mentioned above the talk around Spurs at the moment is negative IE Berabtov.

Redknapp made the classic comment when the claimed Ronaldo wanting to join Real Madrid was different to Berbatov wanting to join Man U. That we should just take the 20M and shut up (to words of that effect)...what is he on.

Redknapp is shockingly ill informed then, if he's not just bitter - he said that Berbatov told Ramos he wasn't going to play against Sunderland as he wasn't in the right state of mind - the official site released a statement from Ramos saying he had chosen to not field Dimi because he would be detrimental to the rest of the squad. He also said that Ramos should go to Levy and demand that Berbatov be sold as "he suits Manchester perfectly and would do well there". :|

What kind of mong says that?? That makes no sense at all - If Ramos went to Dan and said "sell this player, he'll fit better in the other team, that one we're competing against." and thinks we're being picky.

He's bitter. Probably not getting any from Louise or something. Actually, i pass their gaff every morning - next time he's away reporting i might knock with a bottle of wine and Twister, see if she's bored

Why is anyone suprised about what the pundits say on Sky, they are all worshiping the top four and the rest do not matter. And as for Jamie he a shit just like his old man.
