Remember last season when he came back at the Chelski game after injury. It was a surprise that he came back so early, but he slotted straight into the team no problem at all and looked as if he had never been away.

I would like him to have a couple of weeks more of continual training under his belt though, because the last thing we need is him coming back and breaking down again.

I think he needs a few more ressie games before thinking about a first team return. So glad to see him back on the pitch again thought after all that has been written. Fingers crossed he has no reaction on his knee

The possibility of his breaking down or not won't be affected one way or the other by training. He could train from now until next season and it won't make a blind bit of difference, either he has recovered from his injury or he has not. The only way to find out is for him to play as hard as he can, just like normal.

Half-time: Fulham 0-0 Spurs

46mins: King and Rocha replaced by Dervite and Riley.

Either they're being protected and brought back slowly, or they'll be slotted into the 1st team ASAP.

I think a pre arranged 45 mins indicates strongly it was a final test in preparation for Sunday. If it were purely to get him match fit he'd be on for longer. this was a fianl full contact test.

He'll get through Sunday on adrenalin alone...if he plays i bet he gets MOTM. The noise at WHL will be nothing short of magnificent and we will crush Citeh

This is what all Spurs fans have been waiting for, Ledley King back in a Spurs shirt. I feel very happy just looking at those pictures, lets just hope he comes back unscathed and just like the King we all know. I know he won't be rushed but I can't wait to see my favourite player back in the 1st team.

Just got back from the game. King looked steady, taking it very easy, jogging where he would be sprinting. Rocha look comfortable. Routledge was pretty crap, O'Hara looked very accomplished, Dawkins a little clueless and the tackle on Pekhart looked like a potential leg breaker.

I hear what you're saying. I suppose none of us know whether he has the fitness to last 95 mins in the Premiership. I suspect not as he only played 45 mins in a reserve game. Reserve games are not as frantic as Prem league games and 45 mins in a reserve game isn't as taxing as 45 mins in the hustle and bustle of the Prem league.

There are 2 stages in his recovery - recovery from the injury itself and then regaining full match fitness. He's clearly done the first but maybe or maybe not the second. I suppose only the spurs fitness guys and Ramos know for sure. But any player that isn't at full fitness is at far greater risk of injury than one that is fully fit so I pray we don't rush him back befor ethat fitness level is where it should be.

Guess we'll all wait and see the teams on thursday and the weekend too................
