He is such a tosser. We should just say no and put an end to it, Keano is on a long contract and will soon get over it.

No, we should lead them on. Drag it on and then before the window closes pull the plug on it. That way we leave Liverpool (our challengers for the top 4) in limbo and no time to sign an alternative.

The fact that they're talking about our players on their offical website should be sufficient for tapping up, but look what happened to Real over the charges by Man U on Ronaldo's tapping up. Fark all.

It's set a precident, I'm sure.

I haven't bothered to get too into the Ronaldo saga, but if they are thinking of selling to Real then they would probably wait before starting any formal tapping-up allegations.

Also given his comments today it looks like Blatter is on the Real payroll, so Man U probably don't stand much chance of getting anywhere if they take these charges to FIFA.

Here we go again.
Another day of every panicking over tabloid garbage.
O.K. so Benitez has said he contacted us about Keane.
But he did'nt say what the outcome was.
Thats because we probably told him that Keane was not on the market to be sold and if they were interested in him and the bidding would have to start at £20m.
There is no way they would pay that much for him, when they are being tight on the Barry Fee which is £17m.
Barry is Liverpool's no.1 target and once they have bought him they will not splash another £20m on 1 player, when Benitez could raid Spain for 2-3 players for that price.

I agree with all that. I do think Benitez is a w**ker though especially after the Defoe business a couple of years ago and he's a cheeky f**ker naming names like this. It makes our tight lipped approach look even more dignified if you ask me.

Did Rafa not do the same thing with Defoe a couple of seasons ago?

This might have been said by Dan or someone already but I've been away the last week and haven't caught up much.

Basically I spoke to my contact and the Scousers haven't come in for Keano, nor anyone else and we won't want to sell anyway so that is the end of the matter as far as we are concerned. He hasn't requested a transfer either.

doesn't seem to be correct

Taken from BBC Sport.

One of the clubs interested is Liverpool, and manager Rafael Benitez confirmed on the club website: "Keane is one we're looking at. We were in contact and we will see now."
However, BBC Sport understands, despite reports to the contrary, that Keane has not asked for a transfer and that Spurs are likely to price the Reds out of a bid.

Lets all calm down,please.
Keano is on a long term contract.
I know that doesn't mean alot these days, but Keane is Loyal,he has been ever since he has been at Tottenham, and i think he will see out his contract, then probably sign for Celtic, who he said he supported as a boy.

And besides,We need to think about off loading the dead weight at the club, let alone be thinking about selling one of our best players.

Liverpool should be reported for this and besides it is dishonourable anyway to do that to a club in your own league. We should just refuse to negotiate at all with Liverpool over a matter of principle.

How Rafa allowed to declare his interest in Robbie Keane in media, he is shit, reacted like Real Madrid !!

first Barry, then Villa and now Keane, what he would do if he had money like Chelsea !!

I hope Poyet will come and said '' if any one declare his interest in Keane on media, then we are asking for £35m for that club and £20m for any other team ''

I have little doubts that Liverpool are keen on Keane simply because they haven't the money to go for Villa etc. But I have little doubts as well that we are not going to sell him to them.

So on one hand you are telling us to ignore the tabloids, but on the other you are quoting the tabloids and stating it as fact?!?! Which is it to be?

Why is it that Rafa and Droopy Dog (Harry Redknapp) always seem to conduct ther transfer dealings through the media. In some cases it's nothing short of blatant tapping up when they talk about players they admire/want to sign. They get away with it all the bloody time, an absolute joke if you ask me!

Apparently the reason he's no longer interested in Villa is that Valencia have pinned a £32m price-tag on him. We should do the same for Keane, or suggest Torres plus £7m.

Or just tell Rafa to go crap in his hat and wear it backwards.

How often do we sell to the Top 4.
Carrick thats it.
If Levy lets this happen expect similar scenes to what happened at Newcastle when they sold Cole to Man U.
Keegan was standing on the steps at St. James Park with about 2,000 pi*sed off geordies,
Can you really see Gus and Ramos doing that?

Levy is not that stupid and he knows that Keane is a Legend at Spurs and he will not even entertain a bid for one of our best players.
