Hold on. We're looking for a CL spot, and we're thinking of selling our top scorer to our closest rival for it? It's not really up to Keane anyhow. He's a slave.

Weather or not Keano is leaving is debatable, Rafa wants him but Robbie's said nothing as of yet, even if he were to go I have every faith in Juande to find a suitable replacement, Another thing worth thinking about is the 4-2-3-1 formation, maybe Ramos has plans on Berby as the forward and Modric, Dos Santos and Bentley as the backup 3 behind him keeping Bent as the backup forward.

Well, unless the Espanyol president and now Garcia himself are lying through their teeth, it's a pretty safe bet. It would hardly be the first time Marca have fabricated a story.

Don't forget that Hoddle said he had a list of players he was interested in and Keane wasn't on it, and then a week later we signed Robbie.

All clubs bullshit when they think it is in their interests to do so.

Managers lie, agents certainly lie, players lie, clubs lie, actually usually when a player rules himself out of a move it normally means he is moving.

When the transfer window is in play absoultely anything can happen, I wouldn't rule us out selling Keane tomorrow and buying 2 players by sunday night, tis a crazzzzyyy time.

Garcia could well be Keanes replacement, if we are in negotiations with Liverpool over his transfer we may well have told Garcia and his club to keep quiet for now hence the denial, then again the whole story could be bull and we could be hunting for someone completely different.

Football365 says we have reacted 'angrily' (no quotes) to Rafa mentioning Keane's name.

It goes on to remind us that this is the some Spanish twat that said 18 months ago we had offered Defoe around for 5 mill or something, and wanted to do a swap deal with Cisse.

I cant see Liverpool making an offer we would accept, I would expect them to use Keane to hide their interest in one or both of the Davids at Valencia. I think Levy will tell them to go have sexual intercourse with themselves.

Also his name sounds like Squirtle, who just happens to be my favourite Pokemon.

I thought they were one and the same.

I love this website, even in a thread linking my favourite player ever to those scouse swinos you two have managed to make me laugh so for that rep is duly deserved!

Keane is my favourite player here, but if he really wants to go, i would be very sad, but I could take it because he lied when he said '' I love this club and I would like to play my rest career here '' , he said it too many times and that's would be shocking if he left .. I won't hate him as i can't, but i won't trust any player easily after this one.

I will order the 3rd kit too, but until the new arrivals and no. announced, it's for sure between Keane if he wants to stay or Gareth Bale.

I see what your saying and agree in the most but would still find it so hard to take. I think i'd lose all trust in footballers full stop. However i wouldn't feel bitter towards him as I feel he has given us a great service and (as long as he doesn't hand in a transfer request) would feel he still loves our club.

Maybe Arshavin or Villa, is being lined up to replace him?? a prem club not Manu, Chelski or Arse, have had a £19m bid for Arshavin rejected, so you never know It may be us, as a replacement for Keane.

I didn't hear that, where was that? I think its probably more likely to be City though

Quite possibly but football clubs and players will lie if they feel they have to. It's a real messy game being played in football at the moment by the clubs (notably Liverpool), the players (Ronaldo) and the media (The Sun, NotW etc) so we can't take anything as gospel, I'm afraid.

I don't believe anything these days, anyone in football will lie for the better of their career.

Right, Diarra's still on, then.

That's because Pleat signed him up without Hoddle's knowledge.

Alot of the scousers around on their forums think its a "done deal" and they all think 20 mill is lunatic. They value him at 15 mill max heh. Strange that the valuation of Keane is that low with other clubs when we see Ade at 35, Villa at 32 and even Barry at 17-18.

villa and adebayor have played in the champions league. id imagine that makes a difference in price. not that much though.

I think that this could be the case, but more likely that Keane isn't anywhere near as good as Adebayour or Villa and also that Keane is quite a bit older as well.

Fair enough on Adebayor as he is a proven goal scorer in the Premier League but he has only had one season and might not repeat that and since Keane is a guranteed 20+ per season I think 15mill difference between them is wrong. And ok Villa has been fairly good in Spain and in the Euros but he has never played in England so you never know what you get.
