So guys its got to be said keano has been an integral part too keeping us afloat so far this season but do you agree that it would be wise to put him on the bench for the Arse game?!

I feel although he really is the bollox he does seem to hold the ball up to much and in response- slows down the fluidity of our attacking moves..

What do you think? Bench him ? ....................

we shud give Defoe a chance to play alongside Berbs against the Arse, just to show him that he's appreciated, and to give him credit for the 2 goals he scored recently.

a tough one for Ramos.

Defoe definitely deserves a start after not getting one for ages and then having to be subbed last night because of the sending off.

Bent, while not taking his chances when he's started, is getting into scoring positions and would be a great player to have at the Emirates as his pace would give us an outlet/chance to counter-attack.

Keano is our form striker this year, our top scorer, is the most suited to Berbatov and will definitely be fresh since his last game vs Anderlecht will have been 16 days ago by the time Saturday comes around.

Therefore, I reckon Robbie will start on Saturday (though I wouldn't be surprised if Ramos throws a surprise in the team and drops Berbatov!)

Pretty sure Keano will start as usual! I thought from his comments Ramos would have the balls to use the striker thats in the best form for each game but it seems he has already found his pecking order with Berba, Keane, Bent , Defoe! Hope he will prove me wrong!!

its going to be berbatov keane upfront with bent and defoe on the bench. I know its not what he wants to be known as but I think defoe is definatly our best impact striker comming off the bench.

At the start of the season I wanted berbatov to start virtually all the games and have bent alongside him for away games and keane alongside him for the home games but Bent is seriously lacking in confidence and keano seems to be our only striker that scores away from the lane

Isn't Keane the "in form" striker at the moment though?

God that's a tough call. No doubt JD deserves the start for his goal and being hauled off early. But it depends on how Wendy thinks the game will go tactically.

If he recovers, Bent may figure as well as Berb will be knackered after all that running last night.

Keane will have had no competitive football for three weeks, so may lack sharpness. I would go with JD.

I'd go with JD. His 2 goals in 40odd mins of play means he deserves the chance for me.

Also I don't fancy Keano against there players. I think Flamini, Toure and Gallas are too strong and too fast for his game.

Also with Keano we'd be tempted to try and play it around more in midfield and against this goons team that pass it for fun we'd come unstuck. With JD playing we'd look to stretch them more and play through balls and balls over the top.

Defoe deserves it but he won't start. Not allowed to be picked for league games until he signs (which is ludicrous if true).

It's further complicated by the fact that Berba played up front on his own last night, so he'll need to recover from the extra exertion.

I'm a big Keano fan, but I would certainly be tempted to start Defoe on Saturday, having missed 3 games he may have lost some sharpness. I would expect him to come off the bench though, and he does have a habit of scoring against l'arse.

Keane has been fantastic for us, but I want to see JD start on Saturday.

He'll be chomping at the bit after being taken of early last night, and I think his directness as opposed to Keane's trickery and link play, will be needed to partner Berbs. I think Keane would make a better impact substitute in this particular game.

I'd start Defoe and Berbatov, with the other two on the bench. Berbs/Keane will play in front of their back four, but Defoe can stretch them a bit and hopefully cause a bit of panic.

Im going to to throw this in at my peril... Bent and Defoe.........Just that keano wont be sharp and berbs will be jaded.... Plus the pace could cause them problems....

Berba and Keane without any kind of doubt.

Berba is brillaint, was great vs Pompey and Citeh and although maybe not performing at his very best vs scum last year is a definite to play.

Keano's record in last 30-35 games has been exceptional. He will be rested and raring to go and has a histroy of scoring in this fixture (at least for a Spurs forward in recent years)

JD is unlucky yes and has been good recently but teamwise he is the obvious player to sacrifice especially away from home - emphasis needs to be players who can hold up the ball / releive pressure / bring midfield into play - Berba and Robbie best for this.

I would love to throw it back out.

Both Bent and Defoe like to play high up the pitch and head for gols.

In Keane and berbatov we have two players who can drop deep and link play up.

I cant see the free flowing football with these two up front and it will be hit long for Bent and see what happens.

just how demotivating would it be for JD to be dropped for Keane?

Me, I´m not comfortable with fucking around with a winning team. Isn´t that rule number 1 in the manager´s handbook? Everyone but Rafa Benitez (who will never ever win the league in England) seems to adhere to this.
