Anyone else think that Keane looks like he's been hitting the gym? He looks more muscular to me.

Anyone think that if the rumours are true and we do somehow manage to re-sign Berbs that we should keep Keane a little longer and see if they rediscover their love for each other?

Not saying we should or shouldn't, would just be interesting to see if they could...

He's a Tottenham legend. Scored over 100 goals for the club and went to get West Ham relegated.

He can do no wrong.

 Serves them right. Used to like the hammers until their gloating at Lasagnegate.

Any striker that scores 122 goals for Spurs, and 49 goals for his country, deserves a little bit of respect even if he tends to moan a bit.

After watching Keane play for Ireland over the past week, it makes me think that his problems in front of goal this season has been a lack of confidence not a lack of game time.

On big wages and with only a year left on his contract, there won't be too many clubs willing to pay out a big transfer fee or the full wages.

With a heavy schedule of games ahead next season, we'll need a good squad of players.

We have Keane, let's keep him for the Europa Cup matches (there's no chance that Barca will be playing in that... so it is winnable), the League Cup (don't forget that dance), and he has one of the best records in away matches. Tell him up front and keep him pumped up.

In no time he'll be scoring for Spurs again. Surely the prospect of being a top 5 all time Spurs goal scorer will spur him on.

Who knows we may even have Berbatov back..... what chance another 45 goal season between them.

And to think that people are of the view that he is so inferior to Defoe that he didn't even deserve a chance this past season.....

He scored against Scotland. It means next to nothing. Defoe got a hatrick against Bulgaria in a competitive match. Officially competitive.

Jokes of deliberately getting them relegated aside, he was very poor at West Ham in the standard and quality of football that matters. I am happy he has done well for Ireland and up until about eighteen months ago, he was still a very good asset but he has clearly lost something hence he was loaned out.

He wanted to play football. Perfectly fair enough but he couldn't get in the Premiership's worst team. It will be best if he retires to Celtic.

If we did sign berbatov I don;t think there is anything Keane could offer that VDV couldn't do equally or better.

I'd much prefer us go a different route and make the Falcao, Lukaku type signing but I have no doubts resigning Berbatov would greatly increase our strike force so I wouldn't complain if we did.

Personally I am not sure I really want us dealing with Man U nor do I want us signing players with Berbatov's attitude unless we are unable to sign someone of similar or better quality elsewhere.

It would be interesting to see how Berbs would link with VDV.

Berbs can play well as a lone forward leading the line but in his partnership with Keano it was the latter who usually tended to play further up with Berbs deeper.
