The question is, would you pay back your wages? Be honest. If I was useless at my job, constantly performed badly and let both my employers and customers down, I'd like to think I'd have the dignity to leave of my own accord and go and do something more worthwhile with my life and not suck my employers dry for several years.
"I would, however, be annoyed if his wage demands stopped him moving permanently"
I can absolutely guarantee that you are going to get annoyed - he will not sign a contract for less than 60K, what we're paying. But no-one would be stupid enough to give him more than 30K, if that. Therefore, it is only possible he will go out on loan, probably next season as well, with us left with no choice but to top up his wages. I am absolutely certain this is the course that Soldado and Villarreal have decided upon and all the £10 million transfer nonsense is just that, nonsense. I promise you, it will be done on deadline day.
