If I was useless at my job, constantly performed badly and let both my employers and customers down, I'd like to think I'd have the dignity to leave of my own accord and go and do something more worthwhile with my life and not suck my employers dry for several years.

"I would, however, be annoyed if his wage demands stopped him moving permanently"

I can absolutely guarantee that you are going to get annoyed - he will not sign a contract for less than 60K, what we're paying. But no-one would be stupid enough to give him more than 30K, if that. Therefore, it is only possible he will go out on loan, probably next season as well, with us left with no choice but to top up his wages. I am absolutely certain this is the course that Soldado and Villarreal have decided upon and all the £10 million transfer nonsense is just that, nonsense. I promise you, it will be done on deadline day.
The question is, would you pay back your wages? Be honest.

Pretty obvious he won't be with us this season. Levy has finally learned how to take a hit in the transfer market. Does anyone really know the mystery behind his transfer to Spurs?£26 million or more like £18 with add ons?

Oh God, if we're selling him, Carroll, Lennon and maybe Ade too then I really do think we'll get 3 incomings!

Exciting couple of weeks!

And Fazio.

You'd certainly think that with another 5 leaving, and considering the number of players we've already sold, 3 incoming would be a minimum.

Good, if Bobby's off, it's fairly certain we've got some forward close. I just hope they don't consider N'Jie to be our forward replacement as he seems more of a winger.

Love a bit of airport ITK.

Not gonna lie, this makes me feel sad more than anything else. I think we all know he has to go but I'm not sure I've ever wanted a player to succeed so much as I did with Soldado.

Good luck to him.

I really hope so. NJie and two others, one a quality CDM and another sharp, hungry forward will really strengthen us and wave goodbye to the post Bale disappointment.

Me too. He has to go, but I really like the guy. Wish him the best of luck- his attitude is completely at odds with Adebyor (despite them both being non-starters last year) and I respect that level of professionalism.

Good news if it comes off. Gutted it didn't work for him and there were several reasons why.

I just hope Villareal play to his strengths and he gets his mojo back asap.

Dear Bobby my love,

I know in my head it is time for you to move on- for your sake as much as ours. But in my heart I wanted you to stay forever and prove everyone wrong. For someone who produced so little, I have such great affection for you.

Go get 'em in Spain tiger.

All the best and love you always.

Yours Truly,

Tibsy
