Makes you wonder, would Klopp have come to Spurs? Personally, I think he would've waited for a bigger club to come along. He'd be perfect for us in so many ways, and the fans would love him. We love a German after all, and he reminds me a bit of Jol, only way more talented.

I think he's way too good for Liverpool, and I really don't want him to rescue them from the slow inevitable decline they so sorely deserve. But he almost certainly will, which will make things that much harder for us in the future.

Also hearing a lot today that Liverpool got shot of Brendan so quickly because they were worried Chelsea might get rid of Mourinho and get Klopp themselves.

Tis the time of year when the merry-go-round begins. Rodgers for Villa perhaps ;).

Kinda suspect Klopp won't be an instant hit at Pool. Seems to be too many issues under the surface.

Our next game is going to be an interesting one for sure. If I were Poch, I'd be getting us to play full press, full steam early on to see if they crumble. Get a goal in the first 15 mins and we'll knock them outa sight. But if they score first half, then they will get the confidence going and probably Pool will win it.

from the BBC....uh oh! I think this guy is going to struggle

It is 25 years since Liverpool last won the league - their 18th top-flight title - under Kenny Dalglish.

"Twenty-five years ago is a long time," said Klopp. "History is only the base for us; [we shouldn't] keep the history in our backpack all day."

He should know it's not just in Liverpool's backpack...it's been breakfast, lunch and dinner for most scousers for quarter of a century!!

Liverpool's squad isn't as close to as bad as people make out. Klopp has plenty to work with there. It's kind of a double-edged sword- I welcome a character like Klopp being in the Prem, but it's a real shame Liverpool are the likely beneficiaries.

Klopp had some downs at Dortmund as well as amazing ups, so it's not like Liverpool are guaranteed to improve. But they've been under-performing as a squad and it's highly likely they'll tick up a notch or two.

Don't worry!

He also said...

It is the most interesting job in world football

...so the necessary delusions of grandeur are there.

That would be a big step back for him.
Well he clearly couldn't handle the step forward could he. So maybe he should step back to the step he was comfortable on. Swansea would have to be the best club currently out of the ones which should arguably switch manager.

That's debatable, Liverpool really weren't that far behind when he was sacked and even Klopp diplomatically has questioned it.

At the beginning of the season it was widely noted that Liverpool were playing pretty much all the top teams away by December. This would lead to Liverpool's league position looking bad and Rodgers could get fired.

They then beat Stoke away, drew with Arsenal and Everton but lost to Utd. Seems their home form was more of a problem.
