Wow, yet again Del Potro gets the edge on Federer. Really surprised by that result. Almost tempting to think it was an anti-Murray conspiracy, although given the farcical delay at the end of the match when the officials took ages working out who was through, it's hard to imagine Federer was aware there was a one game difference in his favour!
But still, credit to Del Potro, although this tennis article on the ATP World Tour finals provides an explanation as to Federer's longterm gameplan, and why this one might not have been top of his priorities. I expect him to win the tournament, although Del Potro is clearly going to fight him all the way!
