Personally I don’t buy the wages ITK. He wanted to come to us and turned Chelsea down last year. Fuck knows, though.

A bit late to the party here but I personally think its ridiculous that we didn't sign Barkley. He clearly wanted to come, is young, talented and cost peanuts. I know the injury thing can go one way or the other but lets face it, if he comes back and is the player everyone thinks he can be he is worth a fortune in this crazy market.

Time will tell but I think we dropped a proper clanger.

Looks a little dodgy, im starting to doubt whether he didnt sign for them because of us or was it because he knew he was gonna be out til jan atleast and Chelsea told him to hold fire so they could reduce the fee...35m agreed and then he apparently “doesnt want to go” i reckon his palm has been well and truly greased.

Believe what you want, I am tired of the way we conduct ourselves, if we were serious we would have had it done and dusted when RB was fit for that brief period in the summer. How hard would it be for us to upgrade contracts between now and the end of the season in line with Barkley - not very in my humble opinion.

The guy refused to sign for Chelsea in the summer because he didn't think it was the right move (at the time). What makes you think he would be willing to be pushed out of Tottenham to move to Stoke, West Brom or Sunderland?

ITK also said last window that talk about RB wanting more that Kane was not true.
He suddenly changed his mind and wanted more after getting seriously injured??? Doesn't seem right to me.
I think that latest ITK is PR talk to save Levy, as usual. As if Poch would care enough about his wages to pull the plug on the deal.

haha, so by your reasoning, every move Barkley makes from now on will be for bigger clubs and higher wages.
What makes you think he will not accept a move to one of those clubs if no one else wants him? If he had failed with us, it's a certainty none of the other top 6 teams would've gambled on him.

Dont belive the wage rumor at all. Its just a cheap excuse if anything.

I belive we desperately needed a player like Barkley. Now we are stuck with sissoko. A player that brings nothing at all to the table.
This is why we dont win shit and take further steps.
