But we dont have four strikers, pav will never play even if he was the one remaining fit player so we cant even consider him a member of the squad anymore and then we have defoe and crouch who i would consider our only strikers and the remains of what used to be a striker but these days its hard to tell!!

too bad wage demand too high -- fairplay, Spurs don't need 110k a week on the treatment table... along with Bentley and Pav's wages spilling out with no pt

Good luck to the fella as there was no way he could have made our first eleven ahead of the prolific Crouch....

Spectacularly missing the point. (And, fwiw, I'd have him as the first striker on the teamsheet too.) We didn't get him because we couldn't/weren't prepared to pay his wages. If you've got a bone to pick - which it looks like you have - then it's Levy to aim your anger at, not your usual targets of Harry and Crouch.

Frankly, I was totally in favour of getting him in.

But I also cannot have too many qualms either at the club's wage structure or in their insistence on keeping it, even for player like Ruud.

We applaud the astute financial running og the lcub...this is part of it. And if, and when the bottom falls out of the huge financial mismanagent going on with the biggest clubs, as many of us feel it could (and even should), we will be glad of it.
