Impressed by the lad tonight.

I'm wondering as his progress as a RB is blocked by Kyle Walker whether he might be converted into a right winger? Silly idea or not?

he was a winger then got moved to RB.

Not sure with Smith back at the club if he will be pushed forward again.

Only caught the second half but I like what I see. Looks raw but very handy. Seems like we are breeding this ilk of player of late and that's no bad thing.

He did very well going forward but he had the space and help with Andros. Don't hail him too earlay as I guess he could have big difficulties at the defense. Maybe a candidate to loan out to a championship side in January as there arent many chances left this season with us.

He didn't necessarily do great defensively and wasn't very polished with some of his passing/touches but I have to say the biggest part of a game like today is proving you can make the step up and aren't intimidated, and he looked very confident and capable of that, as opposed to say Coulthirst who seemed overwhelmed. Good performance from him and hope to see a lot more of him in the future.

Right wing is fine by me, seems to do more than Lennon already (great cross), young and has time develop his game even more, give him the chances and he could be pushing Lennon out rather soon.

Come on now. You know that isn't how we roll.

He'll be starting for England and being touted as our World Cup saviour by Christmas.

Did as much as he could really and for me one of the bright spots of the evening. Got forward at every opportunity, put in some good crosses that found a man and won the penalty. Also a couple of times in the right place defensively to do a bit of mopping up when required.

From that you would say he deserves more opportunities, when they would come at this stage of the season though is anyone's guess...

Was very impressed. Anybody else remember some of the good defensive work he did? Cross was coming in and there was somebody right over his shoulder, he calmly just popped it out for a corner...not much, but I thought that showed good composure and awareness. Friedel was really applauding it as well.

But yeah, got forward exceptionally well and had some end product going on there...Soldado got on the end of a cross and forced their keeper into a good save with that header.

I just hope that we don't stick him to LB anytime. that would ruin him as Naughton was ruined there.

Got to feel sorry for Smith; stuck on the bench at Derby and then leapfrogged in the pecking order at Spurs...

Plus Soldado applauded him for that effort as well

I was shot at when I said Naughton was no good. Today I'm proved right that even at RB he is less than useless. Still doesn't mark his winger and stays too inside allowing his winger free space on the touchline and forcing our midfielders to drop back to mark his winger. Also didn't even dare to carry the ball forward when he had it, and kept playing the same sideway or back pass like he does at LB.
