Typical spurs really. lol

I still think he's a shit hot RWr waiting to happen.

Gonna have to go back and see what the terms were of our bet...think I may have been 12months previous. But I was pretty on the ball overall, this boy is a player.

Next season though...next season....;)
If I remember correctly you said by Christmas.

Edit: we could do with his pace right now.

I think in January Naughton will go and Yedlin will come in, and then in the summer when Fredericks is back, who knows. Maybe he'll get a Prem loan next year, depends how he does this year. He was excellent in this match though, so hopefully he's made an impression and case for the starting role.

Weird formation Boro played yesterday at The Pool, almost 6 at the back, keeping a very narrow four and the extra two almost acting as attacking Fullbacks.

Ryan barely got to the half way line until they were 2-1 down and even then just to half way.

Almost playing as a Centre half at times, that occassionally had to go out to cover the auxilary fullback.

It worked for them in that it denied L'pool space in between the cb's and fb's and they had to go out wide a lot, but he was working with a clear remit and you could see him wanting to burst forward a couple of times in the instant they won possession back but then remembering his job and just jogging into his position.

Didn't do much wrong though and was disciplined in the role, and also absolutely clattered Sterling in one (fair) challenge that left him in a heap (which was nice)

He clearly didn't want to take a penalty either (was 8th or 9th) and just before his penatly you could see him in a chat with a Boro player and shaking his head. It wasn't the best pen and the keeper got hands to it, and the relieve on Fredrick's face was palpable. He spent the walk back to the halfway line phewing and blowing out his cheeks.

Good spot. Watched him all game and it was telling that the first time he was told to get forward he was the catalyst for the best chance boro had.

Had an excellent game and want him back here so we can turn him into the rip-roaring RWr he should be.;)

Want him to do well in a Spurs shirt obviously,
but after we've signed Yedlin I reckon we'll most likely sell Fredericks for a reasonable fee.
That's also a success for our academy and the player though,
producing a professional player good enough for other clubs to purchase.
There are younger players pushing from behind as well, McQueen and Walker-Peters.
Fredericks will be at an age where he'll need to be one of our two best players in that position, or move on.
Doing well at Boro will create interest.

He did OK last night, but let's not paint him out to be something he isn't.

He could easily have had two penalties given against him for instance, and was nowhere to be seen for their second goal.

Boro's first choice right back looks like he is out for a long time after surgery, so in all probability he is going to get a lot of games this season.

I loved his tackle on Sterling!

Looks to have had an overall decent game against Fulham today. He did receive a yellow card early (18') but still accumulated 63 touches, made 4 tackles, 1 interception, 3 effective clearances, made 1 key pass and completed 78% of his passes.

He made an early burst and put in a decent cross that Albert Adomah just put wide.

He had the best who scored rating for Middlesbrough in that game.

Also according to whoscored he's 190cm tall, which is 6'2". Kenneth Omeruo, a centre back on loan from Chelsea, is 168cm tall :ROFLMAO:

I hope he comes back and isn't sold - personally have hopes he'll come good for us.

Where would he fit in?

At RB we have a few young players, and that looks to be where he is playing now.
Havent seen how his defensive game has developed, but do you think he can take the place of Walker, Naughton or Yedlin next season.

I would hope he could replace Naughton, but I think that is overrating Fredericks right now and underrating how well Naughton has performed for us this season. There were some rumors in the last window that Swansea were sniffing around Naughton - in fact, I think Monk came out and said he was one of the players they were in club negotiations with. It might be too early to jettison any of them, though as we don't know how Yedlin will compare to Fredericks (Yedlin has more hype and better athletic skills, certainly, and will he transition to RW?).

To be honest I think naughton could be our best right back ATM. Walkers going to have to fight hard to take his spot.

I did right this 25ty of oct so it's a bit late to keep giving me negs, walker was out at the time and naughton was playing well at the time. However walker is back and playing well, and I don't miss norton.

I bet you never thought you would say that last season! The two of them came in a joint deal with Naughton being the preferred player and what looked like Walker to make up a deal with Sheffield. The future at RB for the club is looking bright but I wanna see LB sorted!

I went to the match on Saturday, he was given Man Of The Match by the local radio station who cover the Boro games and I would agree with the award.

The game was screaming out for Milos to come on though, it was a shame he never made an appearance.

Ryan showed an end product which I had never really seen before. He nearly found the top corner from 25 yards and should have had multiple assists if it wasn't for some shocking finishing from Kike.

All in all, I think the Championship is his level. There were too many times in the game when he was caught dwelling on the ball, and as a full back that simply can't happen.

But credit where credits due - and I say this with reference to the Yedlin comparisons - this boy has an engine. He kept running and running, and unlike Danny Rose he worked just as hard both ways.

I listened to his interview after the game when he was given his MOTM award, seems like a very level headed young man who has a huge respect for the club, especially Karanka. He certainly sounded like a young footballer with a good attitude, not something that is always apparent which bodes well for his future.

I went to the game today and unfortunately he went off injured just before half time.

He slid in for a tackle and seemingly pulled a muscle. He immediately signalled to the bench he needed to come off. From the way he left the pitch it seemed to be an upper leg injury, but that is really just a guess on my part.

It's a shame really because up until that point he was playing quite well, he showed some decent end product.

Hopefully the injury isn't too serious and he can be back playing soon. What bodes well for him, is that Boro deploy their full backs in a very similar way to Poch (or certainly how I think he would like too). When they are in possession he is literally an attacking right winger which pushes the actual winger in front of him central and further forward.

Sligtly off topic, but that Bamford has a great career ahead of him, just hopefully not at Chelsea.

I've not seen many players as good as he is at his age.

Harry Kane is his age, and is a far superior player.

Very inconsistent though
