Exactly what i said after watching Ings vs Brom, Burnley are in the shit down the table and he still works his bollocks off, runs channels, chases lost causes, has some grit and desire about his play, Berahino's head went down and he had a couple of classic Defoe moments, shots with 4/5 players between him and goal, all very me me me, im sold on Ings as second striker to Kane, hope he is too :playful:
Yep, I'm of the same mind. Plus, as I've just been saying in the Ings thread, Burnley play a very similar system and pressing style to us under Poch. Ings would find it very easy to adapt.

Agree, pretty much said the same myself on the previous page, I could see Pochettino's ideal Strike force as Kane/Ings and Rodriguez as the speedy wide option 3rd striker when needed.

Assuming a successful recovery from injury (and, to be fair, that's a pretty massive assumption right now), I'd prefer us to sign Jay Rodriguez ahead of both Danny Ings and Saido Berahino. Think he's a considerably better player than both of them; think he could do an equally effective job as a lone striker, a second striker in a front two, or as as a wide forward; and lastly we know for damn sure that he epitomises the attitude that Pochettino demands of his strikers. But I concede that his returning to fitness and then agreeing a deal with Southampton are both pretty big obstacles to overcome. (He's still my number 1 choice though!)

On the nose mate. Ings all day for me.

Berahino looks decent but his attitude is questionable; that interview he gave says quite a lot about him!

Ings for me, but Kane has played with both Berahino and Ings for England U21's, so would have a fairly good idea of how the two compare in ability and temperament. I'd hope that Poch would seek his opinion before pursuing either.

I think Berahino offers something that we don`t have already and we already have players in the Ings mould.. Was so impressed with Sturridge the other night I think Berahino could do a job like the for us. He wants to play football at a club bigger than WBA and to be honest he is probably too good for them.

Did anyone see the WBA V Swansea last night ?? It was a very good example of why Berahino would be amazing for us.. He is like a cross between Stirling and Sturridge if we don`t get him he will go to one of our rivals 100%

Not sure about the attitude things he seems a nice enough bloke who has ambition.. with a bit of maturity and guidance he can be a good buy for us...

What is that exactly? The interview where he says he want to play for a bigger club?

Or the driving up the motorway whilst p*ssed "at high speed", using "laughing gas" whilst sat parked up in his car, getting into dressing room fights last season...

He's been described by people at the club as "cocky" and hasn't shown any evidence to suggest he's at all grounded or has a good attitude, unlike Ings imo.

Berahino just reminds me of Defoe. Quick, good finisher, rarely provides an assist. There's a value of course to a player who can find the net, but I think most of us are wanting a bit more, and if you're spending millions on a player, then I'd want that player to have a top attitude and excellent work ethic as a given.

I just want players who i think will improve us and help us challenge ........Not surprised I had similar reactions last summer when I suggested we go for Bony and nearly everyone disagreed with me... :)

I want no more players like Adebayor or Kaboul or Capoue. No more trouble makers.

I hear you buddy. I rate Berahino; just a little concerned that there's a touch of Ade about him. Touting for a move while West Brom are fighting for points, drink-driving charge - to me he seems like a bit of a tool. Might just be his age. Who knows?!

Let's give the guy a break... I remember Frank Lampard making dodgy holiday videos with young girls and abusing American tourist after 9/11 he didn't turn out too badly

Hold the ball better than defoe and can come deep or go out wide also. Why slag off defoe he was a very good player for us by the way!

Scored a brilliant goal today. No one can deny he has bags of potential, but im not a fan of his attitude.

Would prefer Ings... too many question marks over Berahino's attitude. Would better suit a scummy club like an Arsenal or a Liverpool.
