The Saido Berahino rumours rumble on and now it's Chelsea at the head of the betting (7/4) to sign the West Brom striker before the February deadline. Newcastle are 2/1 and Tottenham are out to 3/1.

In other words... he could end up anywhere lol

100/30 to stay at West Brom. Quite fancy that.

I agree with him. Son a much better player than Berahino is

I like to try and keep up with post and have fallen way behind on this. both @Ledleys Knee, and you have both stated here you think Son is a better player than Berahino.

now I haven't got time to go through both or your post, but with all the negative post you both post, i'm sure at sometime or another you have both said (most probably not in words exactly)

we need another striker as cover for Kane as it's ridiculous to only have 1 striker?

now with those words you don't see Son as a striker, or good enough to cover Kane. Berahino proved last season he can play the lone striker role.

Son is a very good WF, Berahino is an up and coming good striker that can play across the front. if he is a bad influence at WBA perhaps it's because he isn't happy with missing out on a transfer. would you be happy in your jobs if your boss wouldn't let you go to a job where you had better prospects, more money?

doubt it, you would sit in the corner at lunch moaning to other work colleges calling your boss a 1st class c**t, and most probably be a bad influence.

I don't have any problem with Berahino attitude. It's been blown way over the top

but surely if you think Son is better than Berahino, then we do have some cover if Kane was injured?
Well we do have cover yes. Though if son can nail down a place on the wings then no we won't. If we want someone in I think they should be better than Berahino.

Saido Berahino to Tottenham: Mauricio Pochettino casts doubt on striker move

“It’s our responsibility to sign not just the right players, but the right people,” the Tottenham head coach told Standard Sport. “Talent is at the same level as character and personality.

“We want to find good players but also good people. People who share our philosophy, behave well, show respect to the club and their team-mates and supporters; respect the badge. This is very important for success.

“It’s my philosophy. This is the way we want to create a big team here and have success in the future.”

Cant really go and buy Berahino now after what he did at WBA regardless of the circumstances. Good man Poch, well said.

To me, this statement pretty much backs up the ITK that stated Poch had decided he'd moved on from Berahino. Not only that, but it also, in my opinion, possibly suggests our new striker isn't far from arriving.

Either way, it's music to my ears. Nothing is more important than the right attitude & the ability to not come in and disrupt a squad that's clearly together as a group.

not in agreement with not going ahead with it but thanks for sharing just a shame we'll probably end up messing up our season with bad decisions yet again.
feels like the Saha & Nelsen January all over again

why would you want a player that would of only sat on the bench? no way could him and Kane play in our system.

Austin also has a record of knee injuries, so would of been a high risk cover, and from what I've seen he would become a passenger in the high press

If those words are genuinely to be believed, then I really want Poch to outdo Ferguson in time served at a club - our club!
