Trix can you just clarify just so we don't get pages and pages of guessing!

I assume you mean still one to keep an eye on, not dead yet maybe etc.

Well you got a winner mate so that explains it.

Just when I thought I was out. They pull me back in

Whilst it would be great to get another striker in, it's all good!

And I fully expect a last minute, 15mill bid into West Brom... ;-)

Can't see them budging after coming out and saying they won't sell.

"I’ve been told Newcastle have no chance of signing Saido Berahino.

"They had tabled a £21m bid but this was rejected. No other deal under discussion."

Pritch was given the choice of where to go of clubs that were interested...

That quote could easily have come from the Teddy Sheringham school of new club flattery or the DL book of deal negotiation. Big pinch of salt required

I mean, are we really going to stay up and hope for this to happen?

Yes. Of course.

I'm coming to the conclusion that the chairman sees this as a personal spite thing. This has clearly gotten personal. Best part of a year barely playing and yet, still, they won't accept a bid of that size? Where does a player stand legally if a club refuse to sell him like this? That's assuming he's not changed his mind and Berahino has been bum-licking to build bridges...

(ps, good to see you about, fella (y) )

I'm not saying it will happen because of this as I don't think Levy will be held to ransom but as a point of information they've gone one step further than we did on Bale and actually said only an 'exceptional' offer will be considered

Anyway I had totally discounted this until the Pritch news
