Risky decision from the Blackburn owners, the team they have is no better than mid to lower table and could easily have to battle relegation.

With Fat Sam in charge the football wont be pretty, but then again you never get the impression his teams will get relegated either, he knows whats required to stay up. With a new manager you never know what will happen.

I know why he left - Inter want him over Rene so have approached him on the quiet, following Sams self-evaluation a few months ago. It's that or Barca have had a falling out with Pep

According to the Mirror, the new Blackburn board have identified Diego Maradona as the man for the job...

Sell them Keane, Bentley, and O'Hara and loan them Khumalo...Spurs North!

You probably don't know that our first-ever manager, Frank Brettell, was previously Bolton's manager and brought half their first team to Tottenham with him!

He stayed a year and then buggered off to Pompey, who had offered him more money. So much for the 'club loyalty' of the 'good old days'.

This really is weird. I'm not exactly a fan of sam Allardyce, but he was doing a decent job up there. The owners have now come out and said it may take them months to appoint a new manager so it appears they don't have anyone lined up yet. By the time they've worked out that a manager is pretty important they'll be bottom three and facing a huge backlash from the fans.

that is why we can never sell out to non-football people. they usually dont have a clue what they're doing.

It sounds like some of the Blackburn fans might have influenced the owners:

"Even during the convincing win against Wolves, there was still an undercurrent of dissent from some Blackburn fans, especially when it became clear Allardyce had ordered his side, not unreasonably, to protect their lead.

A period of measured possession football was met with loud jeering and vociferous criticism of Allardyce, ironic as one of the accusations levelled at him is that he is too happy to ignore the passing game in favour of the more direct approach."
