I agree, however he would have seen what happened with Modric, and still signed it, so if in the next couple of years we refuse to sell him, he can't say he wasn't aware that might happen.

It shows Spurs have the power to hold on to a player if they want. It buys us time to prove we are the place to be. That for me is worth it. Let's hope he gets back soon and hits the ground running. Really looking forward to this weekends game, first time we'll have our proper team out playing (despite mising Sandro, VDV and Lennon still). Parker and Ady and Modric playing proper. love it
