I agree, however he would have seen what happened with Modric, and still signed it, so if in the next couple of years we refuse to sell him, he can't say he wasn't aware that might happen.

Great news.

Agreed it is good news BUT I never saw modric doing what he did, I expected other players to do it before he would ever try it

Erm, you do know that the Modric saga showed exactly the opposite to that?

I know but if we don't get CL this season Im not looking forward to the summer

Bloody good news! He's my current favourite spurs player and I think he's got the potential to become one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

Obviously Levy managed this with promising Sandro that if any team offered a bag of McCoys and a pint of cider he could go with his blessing lol.

Seriosuly TOP news, people should have more faith in Levy and the club they will always want whats best for the club it is thier bussiness afterall.

Massively overrated.

And before you ask, yes I was at the San Siro.

And before you ask, yes I am on a wind up.

And before you ask, yes it is because some old slut smashed into the back of my car today and then drove off.

Brilliant news COYS.

Great news, and if he wants to leave next year we've got him by the balls. Seriously though after the Modric saga I didn't think any of our top players would sign 5 year deals so he must be serious about it because he knows he won't be allowed to leave.

This is why I think the whole Modric situation is massively blown out of proportion, its easy for the media to hype everything up and for us to believe it.

Fantastic news. Based on his performances last season he'd almost be my first name on the teamsheet.

Now let's get him fit as soon as possible and back involved...we've missed him hugely so far.

Whilst this is great news, why are we letting his mate Gomes contract run down? Last season and season before he saw a load of players get improved or contract extensions i think even JJ got one, no wonder his head dropped.

IMHO Gomes should still be first choice, Friedal parries far to many shots a long way from his body, if UTD had a played with Chicarito and City had played Tevez we'd have lost by a lot more, i know Gomes parries a lot but usually the ball stays within a short distance that he'll reclaim it quickly and with no fuss.

I don't think Harry has got that one right.

Wonder if Levy 'promised' Sandro a transfer next summer if he signed a new deal?

I disagree. I rate Gomes highly but I am not left panicking at corners when Friedel is between the sticks whereas i'm on the verge of a heart attack at every set piece with Gomes.

I'll give you that one but it helps if you have the same centre back partnership 2 games in a row, nobody can seriously tell me he was that jittery from corners at PSV, we need some talkers in our back four/five and i'll give you it's hard to speak clearly wearing a gum shield.

Was going to say exactly this.
Friedel can catch a ball in the air which Gomes was slightly suspect at sometimes.
