Only just uploaded it, so quality should improve a lil and hopefully it wont be removed. I'll re-upload as well as upload to DailyMotion if that happens.

I cut out a few basic 2 yard passes as there was no real point in including them. Also missed one or two occasions where he had nobody around him and so lost possession. He also made some great covering defensive runs but the ball never got to the required stage. For example, an arsenal midfielder was running at our defence whilst another midfielder ran behind our defence. Sandro tracked the midfielder looking for a 1on1 whilst Bassong managed to cut out the pass through.

All in all, it was a solid debut IMO. Made a lot of strong challenges which is what he is about, but also found out that he has little time on the ball. Looking forward to seeing more of him, especially when he can move it on to the likes of Bale, Thudd, Modric and VDV.

Enjoy :)

definitely better than palacios...by a country mile

Really? how does it compare to Palacios' home debut for us huh?

The lad looks good. He looked shell-shocked in the first half at the speed and got caught on a number of occasions. But he recovered and looked decent.

He's got a great turn of pace.

I think wehen he has had a few weeks to adjust to the pace of our game then we will have some player on our hands. Was quite a good debut with plenty of good signs.

Let's be honest, since the 0-0 with Arsenal a few years back, how many outstanding games has Palacios had? People have been holding on to that performance for wayyyyy too long.

Yeah, but this kid has only had one game against Arsenal as well. That's my point. its too early to say he's better than Palacios.

And I actually think he had plenty of excellent games for us last season. We just got used to him being there. It was a big highlight on his home debut because we'd been missing that for so long.

re Sando-the most impressive aspect of his debut to me was his ability to adapt and improve DURING the game... Whether it was his own intelligence, or his readiness to accept critique and advice at halftime, it was a great sign..

Thanks for making the video, repped!

I thought Sandro looked very good yesterday, easily our best performer. Very impressive for someone fresh out of the Brazilian league. Palacios' debut for us was incredible but that was also after 2.5 years of playing for premier league teams.

He's faster than I thought and those long legs are made for tackling!

Sandro should provide an excellent platform for Modric/Bale/VDV/Lennon to push forward. He's perhaps 3rd choice atm for two DM slots with Jenas in form and Palacios out of it (though Harry may also bring back Modric to partner Hudd and leave Bale at left mid), but I'd suspect that he'll force his way into the starting XI by the end of the season.

From Opta's Twitter:
8 - Sandro made eight tackles last night, more than any Spurs player has made in a single competitive match this season. Enforcer.

Great video! I feel much better about last night's game now - after watching that I feel like we dominated and won easily :)

He's either exceptionally good at timing his tackles or he gets caught out of position slightly and has a last ditch attempt. From reading IOMLS's knowledgable posts I guess it's the former.

He looks like he's got a very good attitude. He has the look of a winner in his eyes. He was always aware of the game around him and not just himself even after he had just been hacked. He played on and kept working hard even when he had a slight knock.

Did we ever work out why he's not in the CL squad? Was it to make the quota of home-grown players, to give him a rest after his long season or something else?

The boy will be WORLD CLASS!!!!!

A real box to box centre mid, who doesn't make rash challenges as his postioning and reading of the game looks excellent. I can't wait to see him once he's had a few games under his belt.

O'hara had to be named because we needed a 4th home grown player, so I guess it was between Sandro, dos Santos, and Hutton for two of the last spots. Hutton might turn out to be a good call if Kaboul and Corluka are both out with Walker off on loan, though I'd have liked to see Sandro in there too. Sandro had only just arrived at that point so Harry didn't know what he was capable of.

Cheers Berlad - that makes sense.

Sandro looks promising (based on IOMLS's posts/videos) - he has a build a bit like Hudd except he's quicker and has a more agressive attitude. I can't see him losing many 50-50's.
