Our new head of football - An Australian who’s worked with teams in Australia and China

He’s also lots of experience in sports outside of football

On paper it doesn’t look like a particularly inspirational appointment

Good luck to him, for our sake

Interesting appointment (going on his cv anyway) wonder if this means Levy will finally take less of a role in football matters?

I really hope he will have a strong voice in the board that allows him to make true progress in the footballing matters, especially against certain other directors who may have meddle too much than they should have, if they indeed have done so in these past years.

By all accounts, a person who'll make sure the board has less of a voice in footballing matters and we can finally begin working with a vision and long-term strategy in mind. If/when Paratici goes I'd assume we'll get another DOF to replace him and that person would report to Munn, not Levy.

Moving forwards this hopefully means no more ITK about Cullen and Caplehorn having input on who our next manager is.

Really not sure about this one at all. Very left field, real lack of Top class experience. Jury is out

I love the sound of that but Levy needs to be pretty much out of the picture - really hope he’s no longer hanging around Spurs Lodge like some odd geeky Chairman

My pessimistic hat says Munn is just another buffer between himself and the supporters

I just hope he has the foresight to appoint a competent director of football and sacks the fraudster Paratici.

If he fails at that task, either by not appointing a new DoF, or persisting with Paratici, he is a failure.

It is an all-or-nothing thing. This must be done. Levy doesn't have the stones to do it, Munn must.

This is what everyone’s been calling for isn’t it?

Let’s see what happens.
I think that it's partly because people are impatient. They see arsenal doing well, they see Newcastle exceeding expectations for where they should be at this point - other clubs like Brighton, Brentford and Villa are progressing and unfortunately we have regressed.

That's partly why there is such a clamour from (some) fans for Poch - because people want a quick fix. We have to be patient although I'm absolutely sympathetic to why people aren't.

Oh give over! For once, why don’t you actually support the guy and see how he does ffs!

Very strange appointment on paper.

He's been involved with Melbourne Heart (City now) when they were a shit show and the Gold Coast Suns, who are perhaps the most laughable club in the AFL.

I would guess it means Ange Postecoglou moves up our managerial list.

Is Paratici a fraudster? Seems a harsh comment.

Nothing to be with being impatient, we’ve had no football plan or strategy for 3 years since poch left and the football has been god awful dreadful.

Fans want to see something to believe in.
