Daniel Sturridge, if Chelsea is looking to sell at the end of the season I would not be opposed to us bidding. Fantastic turn of pace and very good control. He does miss a few chances but since going to Bolton he has just looked like a very good striker.

I said in January I would have had him for anything under 20m. Now, I fear it would be well over. Chelsea simply have no reason to sell. Cracking striker though.

Was wondering what people thought of David Hoilett?

I thought he looked pretty decent against us when we played them earlier on this season. He's not ready for a move to a big club yet, but it will be interesting to see how he progresses over the next couple of seasons.

Ivan Perisic with another goal and assist (vs. Anderlecht in the Jupiler League play-offs):

No need to apologise. Just teasing, sorry. :)

It's just that with these updates I feel so close to Perisic now. In fact, he feels more a part of Spurs than some of our actual players. I'll be gutted if he does go to Dortmund after all this, even though I've barely ever seen him play!

No worries, I was kind of waiting for a dig. :hello:

The funny part was that I was just suggesting him in general, before he was really being linked with anyone, and then all of a sudden he actually gets linked with Spurs. Spurs "the front runner", him saying he'd be ready to leave, etc. So since then I felt kind of inclined to keep updating the situation. :shake:

He would be a super buy at 8 million euro,I really hope we go after him bigtime.

I agree.

I know we need to look to get some real quality in this summer to start trying to improve the high quality we have in certain areas but i hope it's not at the cost of picking up some real prospects here and there.

Is anyone else paying attention to Papiss Cisse of Freiburg?

He'd be an excellent signing and wouldn't cost a lot.

Depends if you think 15m would be a lot.

Terrific season, though. Playing brilliantly. His scoring record is phenomenal.

I said for a while in lots of other threads that we should be looking at Cisse, Freiburg are a team going nowhere in Germany and his game is suited to the EPL.

15M might seem steep but we know that the market is inflated right now especially where strikers are concerned. He's really probably worth 10m max but he's one of the top scorers in the bundesliga so his club will demand a good price.

We should be able to get circa 10m each for Defoe/Pav and 4-5m for Keane.
