Some supposed "inside info" regarding Ivan Perisic:

- Perisic is definitely gone in the summer. Depends on the highest bidder, with Tottenham currently the front-runner (said to be around that 7m euro mark).
- Borussia Dortmund are now in the mix as well.

Leandro Damiao definitely looks like a very interesting prospect who definitely has all the attributes required.
He is 21 just been called into the Brazil squad and we should definitely be looking at him.

Dortmund's interest in Perisic is now in the Belgian press:

So at least it (appears to) gives some validity to the source who gave me that info.

I'm interested to see if Leandro Damiao plays for Brasil at the weekend against Scotland after getting a call up. He has looked good the couple of times I have seen him play for Internacional (I catch a game now and then since Sandro left having watched him closely) and could be a real star, maybe even the next true number 9 for Brasil.

He's only 21, 6ft2, big, strong and excellent in the air. He is very good around the 6 yard box and sort of reminds me a bit of Van Nistelrooy in the way he plays (he may not be as prolific but he has still scored 25 times in 40 games for them).

Considering our association with Internacional he may be one to keep an eye on.

He looked good I thought. I'm hoping to see alot more of this lad

According to Kicker, Perisic is Dortmund's main target. They add that Klopp has even met with the player.

Since the Dortmund "rumour" (seems to have) turned out to be true I have no reason to doubt the Tottenham info (at least from that one source).

Hasn't Perisic said previously that he might not be ready for the Premiership yet and that Germany would probably be his best option.
He wanted to play regularly and improve as a player.
Dortmund are a very good side and they may well be favourites to sign him.
I sincerely hope that our Croatian players can sway his decision our way.

Did you see the game in full Dinpomp, did he play well?

He did say that, for now, the Bundesliga may be his best option. He said it's very important for him to be playing regularly. But there was an interview a year ago where he said his dream was to play in the Premiership. With that in mind and with Dortmund being Champions League bound, they must look like the favourites. That said, he did say it's up to the clubs to come to terms. Club Brugge will no doubt allow the bids to compete against one another.

And yes I did watch the game in full. He was one of the bright spots. He was a surprise inclusion into the starting 11 and showed that he can be counted on. He brings an athleticism to the side which is otherwise, at least for the most part, lacking. Many members of the media and fans were commenting on how he played his way into serious consideration.
