Has anyone seen much of Olivier Giroud of Montpellier?
Been suggested to me might be good competition for Adebeyor and also may not be too expensive in spite of his form this season.

Ajax already have the youngest squad in CL, but due to injuries the 5 of Jody Lukoki (19), Dico Koppers (19), Lesley de Sa (18), Ruben Ligeon (19) and debutant Davy Klaassen (18) have made the trip to Lyon making our 1st team even younger.

Davy Klaassen won last season's Best Academy talent award.

18 year old Davy Klaassen played 5 min. against Lyon, made his Eredivisie debut over the weekend and scored in less than a minute of coming on!

By scoring on his Eredivisie debut for Ajax he has followed the foot steps of players like Cruyff, van Basten, Laudrup & Kluivert.

MANCHESTER CITY have stepped up their pursuit of whizkid Mateo Kovacic, dubbed the 'Croatian Lionel Messi'.

City chiefs held a meeting yesterday with Kovacic's representative with a view to signing the Dinamo Zagreb midfielder.

Kovacic, 17, is one of the hottest prospects in world football and has been linked to Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United.
The rising star broke into the Dinamo first team in 2010 and already has two caps for the Croatia Under-21s.

Jesus...Callejon and Cuenca look really, really promising for both Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively. I think they're both Spanish too. This really is a great period for Spanish football.

Callejon is very impressive. Shame he's at Madrid as he doesn't stand a chance of starting most games.

Watched the Newcastle game tonight and I was very impressed by their young Slovenian midfielder Haris Vuckic, who is only 19.
Good size, strong, nice change of pace and a thunderous shot.

Whoever is in charge of their scouting is doing a good job, maybe we should find out who it is and get him working for us.

It seems to be our old scout Graham Carr father of Alan Carr the comedian

Jordan Rhodes of Huddersfield had 4 goals this weekend. Has been on fire.

Not saying we should sign him but don't be surprised to see a PL club in for him soon.

Only seen him once, but a few weeks back I watched the Ukraine 3-3 Germany match and was impressed by 22 year old Yevhen Konoplyanka of Dnipro. Evasive little winger with a quick turn of pace, good striker of the ball and seems to play for the benefit of the team. Probably one to keep an eye on at the euros and will be up against England in the final game of that group

Scored a great solo goal in that game, a bit messi-esque

A lot of people very impressed with this guy, Jol has compared him to Gareth Bale

http://www.london24.com/sport/fulham/jol_compares_fulham_youngster_to_tottenham_star_1_1166635?

Fulham manager Martin Jol believes Kerim Frei has the potential to be as good as Gareth Bale.

Frei has forced his way into the first team reckoning at Craven Cottage in recent weeks and Jol reckons the 18-year-old can be compared to the Welsh winger, who he managed while in charge at White Hart Lane.

“I think Frei could become a great player,” he said.

“Bale has a bit more experience but I had Bale when he was as young as Frei and Bale is a great player. I think Frei could be one.

“He is different — he is right-foot, Bale is left-footed. But he has got confidence and he is not like other young players — who play well, play bad, play well — he is always the same.

“That is great to watch and he has got real pace.”

Frei has started the Whites’ last two matches and could be named in the starting XI for tonight’s visit of Arsenal.

Danny Welbeck.

I said a couple of years ago that we should bid for this young man. Excellent performance today. Has strength, pace and his work rate is excellent.

The Independent got it wrong about Diemen. Diemen = Amsterdam, just like Zeeburgia is an amateur club from Amsterdam.

If you go to their site http://www.zeeburgia.nl/site/ you can notice the 3 crosses crest from Amsterdam.

Maher still lives in Amsterdam and has a bit of a grudge towards Ajax for failing to sign him in 4 (!!!) occasions. He played his 1st Jong Oranje match not too long ago and could very well be the 2nd coming of Afellay.

Let's go French/african/dutch/belgian, and we will be fine.
We don't want to go in the same trap as Liverpool, who thought they had made excellent signings in Carroll, Adam, Henderson, Downing.

Liverpool think or thought they did well, but as you see now, they all were overpriced average players.

Seydou Doumbia and Wilfried Bony from the Ivory Coast squad are both very interesting.
