Hello,

I just wanted to post the passing of my father Seamus Stewart. He died today at 8.25am after battling cancer for 10 months. He was a lifelong supporter of tottenham hotspur and also a member of spurs community known as 'Stewarty'. If you read this please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you

Sorry to read about your loss.

The age of your Dad caught my attention, I was also born in 1955, he would have experienced a lot of the joys I have experienced watching Spurs through the decades plus some of the heartaches along the way. This bastard thing called cancer is catching so many people around me these days, in the last six weeks I know of three people
who have been diagnosed with various forms of the big "C"

At a more personal level he will have course left a legacy - yourself and any other brothers and sisters you may or may not have, and no doubt he will have touched other people's lives during his own life. I have my children and am thankful for every day I see them and my grandchildren growing up, although sometimes they are a pain in the butt.

RIP to your Dad.

Rest in peace 'Stewarty'. Condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. I lost my father recently and there's always people here to listen if you ever need to talk, it does help a great deal.

As someone who has lost both parents in the last 3 years my thoughts are with you.

My dad was a big spurs fan and passed that on to me. It isn't easy at this time but do try and remember the good times. The memory I use is the semi against arsenal where i called my dad at full time and shouted the result down the phone to him and held up the phone so he could hear the stadium rocking. Always makes me smile....it was a great memory for him as it is for me.

Good luck mate.

Very sorry indeed to hear this news - you must be devastated right now.
Despite the awful illness affecting him, Stewarty will have enjoyed his last season supporting his beloved Spurs - and seeing them in the Champions League at long last.

I wish you and your family strength in coping with your loss.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my Dad at the same age yours was, I still find it hard walking into a football ground without him even though it is more than 20 years ago. I like to think he is still watching his beloved Spurs from wherever he is, and I'm sure your Dad will do the same.

God bless to you and your family.

Sorry to hear that mate.....we were both 1955 children and as TCO commented earlier we probably traveled a similar journey with THFC. When you watch, talk about or just think about Spurs you know he will always be a fellow travellor with you. RIP your DAD.
