whats the club gonna do with all those unsold seats?
Have you added in blocks 402 , 502 and 529 all those blocks have 1882 seating, the printed map in the brochure was wrong the interactive map apparently is correct.

I don't know why everyone keeps guessing lower numbers when I've said about 130 have sold.

Looks like the standing section is going to sell out long before the final phases open, which is definitely going to be a problem going forward. You'll have people trying to stand elsewhere since they weren't allowed to buy tickets where they wanted to, and others insisting that having specifically avoided the standing blocks the club should police it more stringently everywhere else. Don't understand at all why they only made it 5,500 spaces when the demand is clearly much bigger than that.

You're in the West stand mate. The only time people will be standing up is if we score a goal (and even then they may just stay seated and shout "bravo!" whilst leaning back puffing on their pipe before breaking into polite applause ;):p).

I suppose I am going to have to get used to these West Stand prawn sandwich jokes. The thing is I didn’t have much choice as they gave my beautiful old east stand lower seat to the away fans (block 118).

I doubt there will be any prawns left anyway for any of us normal folk as they’ll all be gobbled up by the ridiculous number of corporate attendees.

Truth is i’m a social climber and have always looked longingly at the hoity-toity bunch over the other side of the pitch. So I’m secretly delighted. Just as long as the rabble in the south stand keep the noise down.

Yeah they gave away my old seats in the East Lower as well! Hope they enjoy the cheese bar .

Joking aside, where you are now in block 102 was second on our list if we couldn’t get certain seats in 123.

I’m glad I’ve stayed in the East Stand but would have been happy to try the West and have the tunnel etc. You’ll also be able to clock any argy bargy between managers/coaching staff (y).

Does anyone know if there has been a breakdown of the general number of seats available at each price point?

a) It's not a "standing section" yet.
b) Are the wheelchair bays where the rake of the south stand changes? My guess would be that the upper part is too steep to meet the expected criteria for safe standing.

Let's face it. It's a standing section in all but name. Anyone who actually tries to sit there isn't likely to see much.

You might be right on the rake though, but hopefully that's not the case. I don't see why the criteria would be any different to be honest considering the safety bars and everything. I can see a lot of sit-down-stand-up malarky across most of the seating in the south, possibly parts of the north lower too.

Yes the rake changes above the wheelchair positions, the section above the wheelchairs is also designed so that if a carer of a wheelchair user is standing to help the wheelchair user , the row immediately behind the wheelchairs can still over there heads staying seated, clever !!. I don't want people standing in the upper part of south that's where I am thinking of going and for this amount of money I want to sit not stand.

Did people used to stand in the Park Lane upper? I can't remember.

Honest question, please don't take it as having a go, but if you want to sit what makes you like the South Upper over the North Upper? The latter is almost certain to be sitting and has a better view. Hoping for there to be more of an atmosphere is all I can think?

Not through the whole game like sometimes happened in the lower, but often for long stretches depending on the mood on the day and what the stewards were doing.

Because we will be attacking Park Lane end in second half , prefer it that way, I used to be in North but we will be changing at new ground so would prefer end we are attacking 2nd half , Park Lane upper never used to stand so assuming lot of the same will be in upper south.

I’m in the south upper and hoping to sit, but I’m in the third row from the wheelchair row so very near the front.
