I was a new ST holder from last year in a cheap seat at Wembley so it is likely to go up a lot for me, and yeah the Shelf Side being no more is a real shame :( I get why they've done this but if the East Lower could've been a standing section too with somewhat cheaper tickets that would've been amazing - the standing would justify it not matching the West and I think you'd get a much better atmosphere and fewer people trying to stand in other areas, but alas that almost certainly doesn't make commercial sense.

if and when they do introduce safe standing, it will never be a high amount aloud, and due to the good few extra thousand we will get if they do introduce it, will have an impact on the transport.

Do we know yet which end we’d be attacking in 1st/2nd half? Assume North 1st and South 2nd but has this been confirmed?

We attack the south in the second half.

Yes it comes down to a coin toss but it's pretty much always agreed that the away team attack towards their own fans in the second half.

Occasionally, once in a blue moon, an away team wins the toss and changes it. Chelsea do it sometimes.

Sometimes it brings luck and goals like Spurs 9 Wigan 1

What’s the highest row in the south stand people would go before it starts to get a bit ‘up in the gods’?

I do want to be in the South stand as I feel it’s going to be quite iconic.

Debating whether to move slightly to a corner view (still south stand) to get a row in the 50’s

Do people think a slight corner view is good? I keep changing my mind!
In block 402 the club seem to think that rows 50-58 are the best as they have been selected for 1882 seats at £2200 , but to me they are bordering on being in the gods. As far as I could guess when work started on the new ground it seemed that the front of the new upper tier was about level with the rear rows of the old north upper so that gives you some idea how high the tiers are. I personally wouldn't want to be much higher than around row 50. Another thing to consider is that an awful lot of the seats in the south are further away from the pitch than those in the north due to the shape of the south stand.

A) there's been more than 48 sold.

please do count more than 48 sold in the south stand and come back here to comment:

Any idea how many rows were in the lower section of the old White Hart Lane North Stand? I was row 18 in the upper section so trying to work out what the equivalent row would be in the new stadium (although understand its only a very vague comparison)

Not certain , I think about 30 which is roughly same as new stadium but of course there is an extra middle tier at the new place at the North end

The new middle tier at the north end is probably comparable to the old north upper but only consists of 16 rows , so either back of north middle or front of north upper should be about the same as old north upper near back but its all guesswork. The unsavoury part of it all though is the new pricing with centre blocks being made premium prices over the side blocks.

Does anynody know whether the upper and lower blocks of the South stand are linked by gangways or whether they access the same bar areas? It's hard to tell from the stadium viewer. I know you have the 'freedom to move from stand to stand', but I'm thinking for half time beers here...

Thanks mate. Appreciate your help. I really want to be in the South stand Kop as it's such an iconic part of the stadium. Just need to weigh up the fact that it will mean being further away from the pitch than other areas (given that I will need to get a seat in a row from roughly row 60-70

I had a look at the sales pattern today, as I'm in Phase 4 and we start Wednesday morning. I used to be in Block G, East Upper, level with the edge of the penalty area (great for offsides...) and I'd hoped to replicate my position in the new place, but I'm struck by the fact that the blocks I want (528 or 529) have largely sold, except for the back rows, whereas the corresponding blocks at the north end of the East Upper, 523 & 524, have loads of free seats.

The only difference I can detect is that 528 & 529 are near the Park Lane (Kop) noise - which is one reason why I originally chose to sit there. It looks as if I'll either have to pay a hell of a lot more money to sit in block 527 (if there are seats left) or move to the northern part of the Shelf.

Has anyone got any other explanation for the disparity in sales between blocks 528/529 and blocks 523/524?

The sun.

The sun will be shining on the north eastern part of the stadium for most matches.
