EXCL. América REJECTS Tottenham's offer for Sebastián Cáceres. It can be known that the offer was around £3,000,000 for a % of the letter, while America asks at least € 5,000,000 for a high % of the letter. The Mexican Club values Cáceres at close to € 7,000,000 for his total record. The English maintain interest and contacts. A new update is expected in the near future.

Whether there's any truth in our bid or not, I hope this is a sign that we're looking to move fast this window.

Reading the comments from the Mexican fans to that post they are not overly impressed with him at all and they say that he is not even among the 15 best cbs in the league. They seem to think that Mexican players maximum would’ve attracted interest from the Dutch league but South American players get unjustified interest from better leagues because of their nationality. Someone stated that he would have cost 15 million euros if he would have been sold from a South American club since Mexican clubs don’t know how to sell well…

In that case I'd rather take a punt on Ben Godfrey.

Madrid were also favs in almost every game they play. They would often get away with being down to 10 men.

Surely we should be aiming higher. What happened to the likes of Hincapie and Ibanez?

Ibanez chose Saudi money and Hincapie signed a new contract which would have bumped the fee up.

Besides Hincapie is too left footed, we need an option that can play both sides

Unless they're looking at someone to deputise for VDV or even Udogie at a push.
Maybe they're viewing it as Phillips as competition to Romero and (insert name) as competition for VDV in the not too distant

I’d be very keen to know how much anyone saying they dont rate this guy has actually seen him play.

Outside of a couple of well known posters I can’t imagine many have seen him play with any sort of regularity.
