Does any one have any ideas on how this is going to work?
I called the Ticket office about how the partnership that begins next season with Stub Hub will work.
I have a season ticket and I know i'm going to miss a few games next season.
They said you can charge whatever price for the ticket you wish.
I have a few concerns with this as surely people will look to snap up tickets quickly, then sell them on for over inflated prices?

Any info would be great.

Exactly as you say. For a £50 membership people can subscribe to a season of touting through Tottenham. It's a fucking disgrace. Financially sound for Tottenham as they receive the full price of one ticket then a nice commission on a tout selling a ticket. I may now invest in my season ticket next season as I make a short term loss of £850ish but may be able to make this back in a small number of the games and profit in the remaining by ripping off fellow supporters.

It's for season ticket holders only.

I do think it's a disaster. Ticket Exchange is about the only thing our club actually does properly. If a season ticket holder can't go to a Cat A game then you stood a chance at getting a face value ticket. I'm sure quite a few ST holders will automatically stick the tickets on there for £150+

I just hope Daniel got a nice big inital fee from there to go on players.

Sure I read somewhere you can't sell your ticket until the game is sold out. Not sure how many games officially sell out according to the club so we may end up with some empty ST seats.

Is it one of those that's good for the season tickets holders and bad for the members?

The problem with the ticket exchange from a season ticket holder point of view, is that you get back
85% of the ticket sold as gold st holder and 75% of the ticket as a Silver season ticket. So you are selling your ticket at a loss.

My Daughter hasnt been all season and i have sold the her ticket for every game except 2.

I'll wait until the first game next season to see how it works as currently a member can sell his/her ticket on the ticket exchange, I can't imagine them removing that option as you will always get the odd time where you have to sell because in the 3 months between you buying a ticket and the game something happens meaning you can't go.....

This is just a way of getting the fans to rip their fellow fans off. My Season Ticket costs just over £850 I think, I've seen tickets outside the ground selling for £300 for the Arsenal and Chelsea matches in the past. Now potentially add a Champions League fixture v Barcelona or Real Madrid to that and you've made the price of your season ticket in 3 touts possibly.

Will this also mean that anyone can buy a ticket on stubhub or will it be limited to members? If it's anyone, we are going to be printing paper tickets again, increasing the touting options outside the ground on matchdays. A step backwards in my opinion.

Even though you got 75% or 85% from the ticket exchange, I thought this was a pretty fair scheme for both the season ticket holders and members.

It's the same rule which applies to the current ticket exchange. Almost every game sells out on Day 1 of General Sale which I think is 2 weeks after the members sale begins? The majority of the games don't make it to the General Sale.

After that, occasionally clubs return an away allocation so we turn the ticket exchange off until the block in the South Upper/Lower is sold out, but this doesn't happen too often.

If they do allow members to sell on stubhub, which I think they will although they haven't said it in any reports, I think you'll find the demand for games increasing even more next season making it harder for members to get tickets as there will be people buying for a quick profit on stubhub, especially for the bigger games.

It is official touting. What is the difference between this and the blokes outside the ground who sell tickets? Only that the club isn't making money out of them. Yet they have been trying to drive them out based on a moral objection to them for years.
It will make it harder for people on the waiting list, which includes new generations of Spurs fans.
There is no need to give up your season ticket now if you can't go as much or whatever- you will be able to flog the big four or five games to pay for why whole thing.
Ticket exchange was fair and moral. Ticket exchange is a disgrace.

Can the current ticket exchange system be used by members to sell their tickets or is it only for season ticket holders ?

I haven't a clue how Stub Hub works. I've heard the name and that's it. Will the club make more money from this new system?
I'm assuming the club are getting a large seasonal licensing fee from StubHub to be able to sell THFC tickets. Our ticketting system is basically rented from TicketMaster, i'm sure StubHub can be given access to assign matches to membership cards. Ticket Exchange worked up until about 2 hours before kick off, I don't know if there will be a shorter time limit from StubHub.

The worst aspect is definitely that ticket prices after the initial sale will rise sky-high next year

I've bought tickets from Ticket Exchange in the past. It's a system I like. I can't say I understand this new set-up but it sounds like fuckery to me. Bloody tickets cost enough as it is. Very annoyed.

I'm assuming the club look at their average ticket exchange revenue (15%-25% per ticket) and StubHub have offered them a much higher figure, up-front. From the club's point of view, it's more money for wages, transfers etc. It can't be hard to see beyond the figures, in business sometimes.

Either way, we're stuck with it.
