No words of wisdom from me.
Plainly not consistent enough for a Top 7 side but certainly has his moments both good & bad.
Top 7 yes, Top 4 no.

Under Mourinho when he was more protected he performed much better but as we know you can't build a team knowing one or two have to be protected

he's been with us 4 years already?! Damn I was still waiting for him to settle in properly and show us what he's made of!

I personally don’t see Tanganga as a regular RB for us, so if we are letting Aurier move on there has to be a plan for someone much better to come in.

Of course not, but he is still under a contract and going to the papers and try to force his way out, is not the answer.

More likely the papers going to him and fishing around for any old shit to put on the empty back pages.

Who’s our next manager?

Who wants Aurier, PSG or Poch. Could be a scenario whereby Aurier stays.
Just off topic but I made three respective post, bit of humour concerning the continually updated and changing stories about which manager we are going to get.
Admin deleted all three with a single comment of IDIOT for each reason. I have been blocked from commenting now on that topic.
The posts contained no bad language , insulted no other poster at all. Considering the fact that the site rules state that members are neither allowed to use foul language nor insult other posters but there are many posts which do both and nothing is done about it,I find it somewhat unfair. Even the use of the term Idiot by admin does not set a particularly good example. Please admin sort out the serious rule breakers before having a pop at me for three polite, attempted humorous posts about a set topic.

I was thinking the same, it would be another reason to leave if he is forced into players he doesn’t want

No.

Also. There will be at least several comments next season of “we shouldn’t have sold Aurier!” or words to that effect, so be careful what you wish for…
I think you'll find those who want aurier out, want an upgrade.
But Levy has selective senses and will see all the waving bye memes and think the player is excess to requirements. £15m kerching!

Aurier supposedly wanting to go to a pochettino managed side is very odd as he was second choice here under him. Surely he would only go there if pochettino was definitely known to be toast. So for me there is a strong link between pochettino going and aurier arriving.

It is only a small step then to think that as psg want compensation and we can't be seen to be paying this for an ex-manager (who is possibly still under contract to us in some way), that we use a cut price player as a mechanism, to make the transfer, without making Levy look absolutely incompetent.

Now it maybe that psg would rather have a cut price Lloris now they come to think about it. But I think the aurier 'swap' has been set up for quite a while and the the 2 parties are just testing the boundaries.

Selling Aurier doesn't help our right back situation but it is time for him to move on.

Hopefully Tanganga can step up and make the spot his own.
Tanganga is not the answer imo. I rate the bloke but if we have any ambition of getting back to where we were, when we had Walker and Trippier, then he just isnt the same level.
Unfortunately that applies to about 8 out of 11 positions on the pitch so we may have to go little by little.
I just hope should by some miracle we turn this turd of a squad around in the next few years and we do get back up there we dont let the whole thing rot again as we have.

Must say I think he’s a very good right back. However he DOES make some serious blunders some times.

good luck to him

I wouldn't bank on it. We've got rid of 3 RB in the past 5 years without back up, Walker, Trippier, Walker-Peters and now Aurier. So lets see if levy does the right thing this time, but don't hold your breath.

Happy to let him go, and Doherty.

I like Tanganga (his name is fun to say) but don’t see him as a RB myself. I don’t think he has the delivery in attack to be a RB at a top 6 club. Not sure why he isn’t being coached into a CB? Not quite tall enough?

I would be looking at Aarons and Lamperty.
