I totally get what you're saying and your concerns are totally
legitimate but if Poch is relaxed about what he's done in the past, What's the problem ?

Just for clarification personally, i'd have avoided him.

As requested in the ITK thread, this is a link to a story saying that his appeal was on August 7th.

Serge Aurier will play his sporting future probably on the side of the Court of Appeal of Paris. It is indeed this Monday that the Ivorian defender of the PSG will know the decision of the justice concerning him following his condemnation for voluntary violence on a policeman, it was during a night out in the capital in May 2016. First Serge Aurier had been sentenced to two months in prison and 600 euros in damages.

A condemnation of which the Parisian player had immediately appealed. But this first penalty had earned Serge Aurier a serious sporting worry, as the English authorities had refused to play with the PSG in the Champions League against Arsenal in the group stage last winter. And obviously this decision has cooled several clubs interested in the defender of Paris Saint-Germain, and especially Manchester United who would have recently proposed 30ME to the leaders of the PSG for their player.

In other words, if the penalty is lightened, things could quickly unlock for this transfer to the Red Devils. But if on the contrary condemnation is heavier on appeal, then Serge Aurier's Mancunian future will run short.

GFFN saying it now, so the article does exist:

Serge Aurier has already agreed personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur; a deal is now dependent on a resolution of his legal situation.

I'm not really bothered about the police officer thing as we'll never know what really went down and it's not exactly beyond the realms of possibility that he was the victim as the French police do have a bit of a reputation.

The faggot comment and slagging off team mates is much more of a concern, but his apology seemed genuine, more so than Rose's, anyway. We need a top drawer right back to compete with Trippier after selling Walker, we can't just not replace him so this signing is crucial, imo, especially as it appears that Aurier is our only RB target.

Poch must've had a talk or 2 with him about what he expects and it would seem he is happy so we should do everything we can to get this done asap. Assuming we can get round this suspended sentence thing, obviously.

Even though I think this goes for most of our players, he should know he won't get any second chances if something like this happens again.

I doubt it'll happen anyway

Will be a fantastic signing, we've missed some pace from our wingbacks.

Such a weird situation. Just hope it falls in place with the court appeal or passport application. Hopefully his personal issues are behind him now too.

Could be an inspired signing if it goes through, on the pitch he's gravy.

still find it hard to believe United are not seriously after him. They only have Valencia at RB
