Honestly attitude a side this would be a huge signing of intent if not as fast as walker but with a better aerial ability and stronger in the tackle and physically.

can also dribble and whip a cross in he's destroyed arsenal a few times!

I'm not sure I'd say his physical attributes are better than Walker's - he is better technically though.

I think he's stronger and more powerful?

A race between the pair would be interesting Walker may have him over the 100M but over 50 im not sure.

Prick or not though he improves the starting 11 so get him in.

Spot on. It's not that PSG didn't want to keep him. He asked Emery to be sold. Here's what Emery told L'Equipe.

And Emery said the 24-year-old Ivory Coast international is set to depart the French capital, having first arrived from Toulouse in 2014. "I've spoken with Serge to tell him I wanted him to stay here and continue with us," he told L'Equipe. "He told me that he wanted to leave and that he wanted to stay in Paris to prepare for going. "So, we signed Dani Alves, a very experienced player who has the spirit of a champion."

I think PSG wanted to offer Aurier a new contract which he had no interest in signing

@ilikeost is also particularly fond of this feel-good story from Aurier's past
Yeah... It would be a nice story if he actually saved his life. I would be fine with letting this fairytale slide if it wasn't for the fact that people use it to excuse his homophobic slurs. But I know I'm fighting a losing battle when it comes to this so... Yeah... Can't wait to see this hero play in our shirt!

Yeah but he put his hand in another guy's mouth so can't be homophobic imo

Watched a 10 min video of him this morning on ol' youtube. Things to note:

- Kid LOVES a slide tackle and
- Plays with tons of confidence, doesn't appeared to be scared of anything!
- Major similarities to the way Walker plays but arguably looks stronger physically if maybe not quite as quick - there's definitely not much in it though. Flys past opposing full backs with ease on numerous occasions.
- May need to calm down a bit as he can be a bit rash in the challenge and could see him rackin up a few cards in this league.

Like many I'm feeling cautious about his potential character issues but there is no doubt that from a footballing perspective he would be a perfect replacement for Walker.

I think he'd be our most important signing this window. Barkley would be nice. So would Sessegnon. But we really don't need them. We definitely need Aurier or somebody just like him. He's the player that would really make our 3-4-2-1 work. If we don't get him in I think it will be a struggle against top sides trying to pass Tripper off as a wingback.

I keep reading about his slide tackling from YouTube clips, but remember they only show the highlights and interesting parts. Very few videos of any defenders just man marking.

We most certainly do need Barkley or other creative, attacking signings.

We are one injury to Eriksen away from being totally up shit creek.

While I can't imagine any injury effecting us more than an Eriksen one, I think we'd struggle, but we'd get by. We'd just slot a healthy Lamela into that role I imagine. He wouldn't be Eriksen, but he'd get the job done. Having no right wingback is a much bigger issue to me. Tripper is fine in a 4-2-3-1 playing against Burnley on a Saturday afternoon. He's not fine however on a Tuesday night against Madrid in a 3-4-2-1. He'd get destroyed. He's physically not capable of being a wingback. There is also nobody else in the squad capable of fulfilling that role.

Acting like a healthy Lamela exists any more. Agreed otherwise.

It's been nearly a year since Lamela last played.
