In fairness Sancho is quite a bit ahead of Edwards. In the recent U17 Euros, Sancho was the player of the tournament and Edwards was used mainly as a sub.

Sancho is much more ready to play a part in the first team squad than Edwards at this precise time imo. :)

Yes although even with that I would imagine Sancho is a next season player at best.

Sessegnon is exceptional and unlike Edwards and Sancho is already powerful enough to deal with senior football, he could come in and play a part this season.

Problem is Sancho is no more developed then Edwards. Sessegnon is a kid too ( although at least has some first team experience).

From what I've seen, Sancho would be better as an attacking option than GKN, Sissoko off the bench. I know he's young but his skill-set, speed and lack of fear would help us a lot.

But Sancho and Foyth won't necessarily walk into our match day squad. Aurier will be decent, don't think Barkley is the immediate upgrade; just a bench player. We need some serious pace, technique and strength in our final third

They may not be ready for the first team yet but its still better to sign them early before their transfer fees rise to astronomical figures.
It would also be good for them, if given the chance, to train under Poch's methods so that they will be ready when Poch decides to move them up a rung.

Don't think it's a stretch to say we likely win today if Aurier is on the pitch. Not much we could have done about expediting this transfer given the legal situation, it's just to show Trippier is a fantastic backup but not a reliable starter.

Think we also win against Chelsea if he's on the pitch as well

Yeah, Trippier made the critical mistake and we probably would have won with a better player there. That said, if any of the attacking players took their chances, then we wouldn't have even been in that position. We definitely need an upgrade though. Can't be throwing Trippier out there against the top teams if he is going to play like that.

In L'Equipe today, no idea what it means.
